Most all the embroidery patterns out there are copywrite free, as they are so old. Hence, why all the copies can be bought on ebay, patternbee etc.

I have a lot, that I have spent a LOT of money on. There's a lot out there, I don't have and desperately want, but can't afford.

I really want Aunt Jenny's veggie heads! lol I also really want these-

http://patternbee.com/DD349.html

There's many others I want desperately as well, but these three are at the top! (pillow case peacocks would be loved as well!)

I was thinking why don't we do a "barter" or a trade/swap!

All you have to do is use a copy machine (if you have one at home that would be fine!), and copy what you have-that some one else wants, and send it to some one else who wants them, in turn you could have some of theirs!

I have a LOT! So if you posted what you want, I could let you know if I have it.

Is any one game?

On this swap you can have more then one partner!

Actually, I've not seen the kewpies. Don't have any of the veggies either. Just animals, flowers, that sort of thing. Guess I'm not much help huh?

That's ok.

Any cute veggies?

Also do you have any kewpies that aren't the two kind I posted? I am always on the look out for more, but have only ever seen the Aunt Martha ones, and the ones at pattern bee that I posted.

I have finally gotten a chance to look through my patterns and not a peacock in the bunch. I have flowers and basket of flowers and cute little cupies and animals of all kinds but not a peacock. Sorry. Beverley

I need to look through all my patterns to see what all I have. A long time ago, though, I found this blog http://mytransfers.blogspot.com/ and have copied many transfers from her. She had to take a bunch down due to copywrite laws (mostly Vogart designs), but I know I saved several before she took them down.

Heather,
I'm still interested but haven't had the time to look through mine, I have A LOT so it will take me a bit. I think I have seen the peacock one but don't know if I have it or saw it somewhere else. I get a ton off ebay. I'll try to check in here more often.

I have those, but, if there's any I have you still want, and no one else comes along to trade, I'll send you a few. :)

I just went to the colonial pattern (aunt martha) website, and was surprised and happy to see they have 3 new primitive patterns! I HAVE to go to Joann's! lol And see if I can't find those. lol I don't mind buying the aunt martha cause they are fairly cheap. (used to could get them for 80 cents at walmart! But, still usually around 80 cents at Joann's with coupons!). But, the pattern bee, and other retired ones, are so expensive!

Hmmm, not familiar with those particular books. However, could you tell me, if the kewpies, are like these-
http://www.patternbee.com/CH342.html
http://www.patternbee.com/LN341.html

Cause I have both those, but am always on the look out for more. (remember just cause they came from PatternBee, doesn't mean they aren't in other vintage places, cause that's where she got hers, they are no longer copy writed, so she sells vintage ones she has restored is all. So originally they were from different companies, and different places).

Oh and do you have any pillow case cat patterns?

http://www.heathersprairie.blogspot.com
Beverley Posted - Sep 14 2008 : 7:58:36 PM
I don't have any of the patternbee ones. Mine are mostly in books. I have a vintage book with ones for pillowcases and other stuff in it. and I have kewpies, and baby koala Days of the week and tons of bears ones. and I have a set of different basket with flowers that I am working on right now that I am making into a quilt. I think there are 32 of those in total. I also have these small books one is called the green book, red book and blue book that have all kinds of different patterns in them if you have seen them . I will have to look and see what others I have because I have a stack of books.

I'm still in!

Do you have any pillow case (small-not bed spread size) peacock patterns?

What kind of patterns do you have.

I really really want to do some swaps. This would be a great way to trade patterns!

I forgot about the window! I have huge windows too, I need to do that!

Beverley Posted - Sep 14 2008 : 6:45:45 PM
you can also tape the picture to a window when the sun is coming in and tape the material you wish to transfer it to over it and trace it with a pencil and that costs you nothing. I do this all the time and them embroider. works great. Let me know if you want to do a swap or what . I have a lot of embrodiery patterns but not those veggie head ones . sorry. but a swap sounds kinda fun. Beverley
