Most all the embroidery patterns out there are copywrite free, as they are so old. Hence, why all the copies can be bought on ebay, patternbee etc.
I have a lot, that I have spent a LOT of money on. There's a lot out there, I don't have and desperately want, but can't afford.
I really want Aunt Jenny's veggie heads! lol I also really want these-

There's many others I want desperately as well, but these three are at the top! (pillow case peacocks would be loved as well!)
I was thinking why don't we do a "barter" or a trade/swap!
All you have to do is use a copy machine (if you have one at home that would be fine!), and copy what you have-that some one else wants, and send it to some one else who wants them, in turn you could have some of theirs!
I have a LOT! So if you posted what you want, I could let you know if I have it.
Is any one game?

When you copy them, can you then iron them on, as you do in patterns you purchase? Or does it have to be a special paper or copy machine?

Ok, here's how you do it.
Copying them on a regular copy machine, will not give you another iron on. I believe you can buy special paper for that, in quilting departments. But, for this swap we are just doing a regular copy machine copy, with regular copy machine paper.
Once the person who wants to use, goes to use it, what they do is get a light box, OR do what I do, just use some tracing paper, and go to the store, and get a transfer pencil or pen. Out of my own experience, the pencil works better then the pen. The pen, is very hard to get a good trace with, it's like a magic marker with too much ink (felt tip), and it's hard to trace with it, and keep the ink steady, if you stop for a second too long it leaves a HUGE blob of ink. So it's much easier to use the transfer pencils.
Transfer pencils are mainly put out by sulky, but there is other brands out on the market as well.
I found my sulky pencil at a Walmart in Kansas, believe it or not! However, I only found them at ONE Walmart in Kansas, out of 10 that I went to. I have never seen them at Walmart in NY.
I've also seen them a few times at Joann's.
BUT, I have always been able to find them at all sewing machine shops. Any Sew and Vac shop will probably have one. They come in a lot of colors.
The only thing is, is sometimes it takes a while to trace a pattern. They also take longer to iron on then say a Aunt Martha pattern, however not longer then a noncommercial made one, like from patternbee.com. It takes about a medium amount of time, longer then Aunt Martha, but shorter then patternbee. But, what I like best about it is, I find that most the time the pattern once ironed on will eventually wear off/wash off! Even wear off before washing! (so hurry and do your pattern, lol after ironing it on! Unless you do like me, once ironed on, you can use just a regular pencil like you write with at school or what have you, and you can go over the pattern right on the material-towel/pillow case etc, with the pencil and help you see the pattern better, and if the iron on wears off you can still see it!). Wear Aunt Martha's patterns with no amount of soaking, washing, wearing have I ever been able to get the pattern off of once ironed on. And if you ever make a mistake while ironing on, you know why this is sometimes not desirable. lol

Oh another tip, if you do not want to buy a transfer pen, people often just get a light box, and put the pattern they want on the light box, with the material they want to stitch on, on top of the pattern, and trace it on with just a regular pencil.
A transfer pencil is cheaper then a light box! lol haha So I went with the transfer pencil. It only cost about a dollar. lol

you can also tape the picture to a window when the sun is coming in and tape the material you wish to transfer it to over it and trace it with a pencil and that costs you nothing. I do this all the time and them embroider. works great. Let me know if you want to do a swap or what . I have a lot of embrodiery patterns but not those veggie head ones . sorry. but a swap sounds kinda fun. Beverley

Do you have any pillow case (small-not bed spread size) peacock patterns?
What kind of patterns do you have.
I really really want to do some swaps. This would be a great way to trade patterns!
I forgot about the window! I have huge windows too, I need to do that!

I don't have any of the patternbee ones. Mine are mostly in books. I have a vintage book with ones for pillowcases and other stuff in it. and I have kewpies, and baby koala Days of the week and tons of bears ones. and I have a set of different basket with flowers that I am working on right now that I am making into a quilt. I think there are 32 of those in total. I also have these small books one is called the green book, red book and blue book that have all kinds of different patterns in them if you have seen them . I will have to look and see what others I have because I have a stack of books.

Cause I have both those, but am always on the look out for more. (remember just cause they came from PatternBee, doesn't mean they aren't in other vintage places, cause that's where she got hers, they are no longer copy writed, so she sells vintage ones she has restored is all. So originally they were from different companies, and different places).
Oh and do you have any pillow case cat patterns?

I just went to the colonial pattern (aunt martha) website, and was surprised and happy to see they have 3 new primitive patterns! I HAVE to go to Joann's! lol And see if I can't find those. lol I don't mind buying the aunt martha cause they are fairly cheap. (used to could get them for 80 cents at walmart! But, still usually around 80 cents at Joann's with coupons!). But, the pattern bee, and other retired ones, are so expensive!
