Hi Ladies!

We have done two of these in the past before and they have been so much fun!

Here's how it works:

I will continue to make groups of two and will fill in any unfilled groups. This way you only have to make a set of pillowcases for your swap partner. There is a long due date- all the way from August 1st to November 30th. What a great way to get something sweet from a fellow farmgirl for the holidays!

Please purchase tracking and send that to your swap partner so she knows when her package has been mailed.

I completely forgot about this!! Has anyone heard from girlwrangler? I need to email her. I never received my pillowcases from her and haven't heard from her since she received mine. I hope everything is ok, but now I feel weird putting a shout out to her.. Feels like too much time has passed to even bother. Thoughts??? ~julia

That is so neat on those pillowcases, the nurses commenting on them :) Yea, if you have the address on Rosegate in Reynoldsburg, then you are good to go. Looking forward to seeing everything. No worries on the delay. Hope that DH is healthy now. Talk to you more soon :)

Hi Amy Art Girl,

I have a wonderful package prepared to go out in the mail --- which you should receive by Monday, April 13th by USPS. The package is going to the address on file from our correspondence when the pillowcase exchange began ---- as I am not able to access the older email account. As life has been too hectic to craft a beautiful set of pillowcases as you thoughtfully did for me, I hope you will be forgiving in receiving instead, a surprise box of craft supplies (needlework, etc) and holiday (Yankee Candle). Thank you, Amy, for being patient --- and especially thank you for the beautiful, artistic pillowcases you created. When DH had to be hospitalized twice for sleep apnea, he requested the pillowcases on his own pillows for comfort. The nurses on staff commented on the words "sleep" and "dream" you added to the vines and flower motif, being the perfect choice. Please check for an update tomorrow with the USPS tracking number for the box. Happy Spring ! :)

I don't know how to begin to apologize for not having AmyArtGirl's packet in the mail. Time has been a blur for most of the winter due to my father-in-law being hospitalized three times with cardiac situations, my bout with pneumonia mid January and DH's two overnight stays for a hospital procedure as well.

I am back at work full time as of this week and putting household in order after much neglect. This week is being spent sending emails, letters and making phone calls to everyone who was so supportive.

AmyArtGirl, thank you for being so patient. Your packet will be going out in the mail by certifed mail with tracking number forwarded.

Thank you everyone for allowing me to be part of the pillowcase exchange swap.

Alee, the pillowcases arrived Saturday and they are beautiful! Your stitching looks just like my paternal grandmother's and that makes them extra special.

Yours will hopefully be in the mail by the end of the week. Still trying to work around those schmoozy cats (one of just came up now and is laying on my arm).

Thanks again, maven sister!

God bless -

No prob on the little late package from you...it will be a neat Christmas gift I am sure! I am so glad that you recv'd yours and that you love them.....I LOVE the work of Susan Branch AND Mary E...I suppose that is where my inspiration came from, it was all really a sketch in my head after a long while of 'artist's block'. I am really glad the colors worked out perfectly too <happy dance>

The pillowcases are being admired by one and all --- sharing notes on how we slept on our Grandmother and Mother's hand stitched pillowcases -- and much praise for Amy's artistic touches. Her needlework reminds me of two favorite women who craft & create -- Mary Engelbreit and Susan Branch.

And to make it even better, the colors used are exactly the color theme of the bedroom. One slip says "Dream" while the other says "Sleep" -- the words flowing with stitched vines and flowers from Amy's creative imagination.

Your holiday cheer package with pillowcases enclosed will be on the way to you soon, Amy.

Thank you for organizing the embroidered pillowcase swap, Alee.
