Posted - Sep 18 2005 : 9:33:16 PM Meadowlark suggested I start a thread on animal communication so here it is for anyone who is interested. I've been communicating with animals my whole life. When I was a kid, I thought everybody did it. I found out later that not only does everyone not do it but most people think your elevator doesn't go to the top floor if you say you do. I've been doing it professionally for about 30 years now and I have a website, www.petreader.com.
Animals communicate in three ways: they send each other pictures, they send each other feelings, and those who live with people pick up the words they hear in the home, like kids do. So I see the pictures, feel the feelings, and hear the words they send me. I don't need to be with the animal to communicate with him/her, and I have clients all over the country. I ask that their human companion not tell me anything at all about the animal, not even what kind of animal it it is. This is my own personal fail safe. I describe the animal to the person to verify that I have the right one, and then I go through the animal's body on the inside for physical condition. I do this for two reasons: it gives the human more information about their pal, and by the time I've done it, the animal is used to me being in their heads. this is especially important on phone readings because they can't check me out in the usual way, sniffing me and so on.
I do lectures about animal communication, work with rescue organizations like New Leash on Life in Los Angeles and Best Friends in Kanab, Utah at no cost. I also find missing pets for people and have been asked by the Continuing Ed department of U of U here in Salt Lake, to teach a class in it, which I will do in October. I am also going to lecture with my husband, who taught Theoretical Physics on the post-graduate level at Cambridge University in England for 24 years, on "Science and Spirituality and how they both are saying the same things about God and the nature of the Universe" at U of Utah in November. I used to do readings on the radio and television monthly in Santa Barbara, and am also a retired Methodist minister with a speciality in teaching the Bible from the original Aramaic and Hebrew.
I would be happy to answer any questions my farmgirl sisters might have about animal communication or any of the above.

Posted - Dec 23 2005 : 1:16:27 PM Patricia, Thank you for your time. It's been about three hours since my phone session with you and I still haven't caught my breath. I am in awe and uplifted by the things you revealed to me. (For any doubters out there...she was RIGHT ON.) I can't wait to give my sister-in-law the gift certificate for her session with you. Your talent is amazing. Thanks deeply for sharing. Merry Christmas, Rebekah

Posted - Dec 22 2005 : 08:54:35 AM Hi Rebekah ~ to communicate privately with someone, just click on their name in the "author" column and it will pull up their info. Click on "Send and e-mail" and it will give you another screen that will send your email directly to their private email address. I do gift certificates all the time. You can see the info on my website, www.petreader.com. The person does not have to be a believer but it helps to be open-minded. I always begin by describing the pet (I know you said he is a yorkie but please, don't say anything else) and I always give information that I have no way of knowing other than the dog telling or showing me, so maybe that'll help. I am always trying to teach people about animals so they will understand that they are not a "lesser" species (although I met a mule a couple of weeks ago who thinks the farm dogs are lesser species). They have the same souls as we do, just in a different form. Whether or not they "get it" is up to them, but at least I'm making some think. Anyway, if you have trouble with the email thing, let me know and I'll send you my phone number.
In love and light, P

Posted - Dec 22 2005 : 07:25:02 AM Patricia, I'm so glad that your health is improving somewhat. I surely hope that continues. Oh, my, what a generous offer, I'd love to speak with you about my four-legged children. I was also thinking of a friend who happens to be my sister-in-law. Her yorkie died many months ago and she is still devastated by the loss. I think much of her difficulty stems from our society's lack of sympathy. If the death had been that of a "family member" who was recognized to be such ("family member", not "dog"), she would have a freezer full of casseroles and folks would have been supporting her throughout these months. Instead, they look at her funny if she gets tears in her eyes speaking about him. They dismiss her. Anyway, I was thinking about a gift certificate for her to speak with you. Have you ever done such a thing? I believe she would be open to it. Is that necessary? That she be open-minded? I am completely computer illiterate and have surely never been in a setting like this forum. So, I have no idea how to communicate with you outside of this. Let me know. I'd like to do that for her if you think it's a good idea. Maybe I'd add it to her Christmas presents. Yes, yes, I adore this group and members already. It is a wonderful place, isn't it? I have hope for a transition to a simpler life! And, boy, we all need hope don't we? Have a great day! Rebekah

Posted - Dec 21 2005 : 5:27:31 PM Hi Rebekah and thanks for asking. I'm still struggling health wise, but keeping on trucking anyway.
Thank you and God bless you and your dh for taking care of your fur babies. No, society tends to laugh at people who say they communicate with animals, or think your nuts, or both (or, worse, condemn you to Hell, which is funny because as a minister whose specialty is the Bible from the original Aramaic and Hebrew texts, I know no such place exists except in people's hearts). It's really funny to watch their faces when I tell them things I couldn't possibly have known any other way. I would like to do a free reading to thank you for your care of your animals. If you'd like to do this, let me know and I'll send you my phone number.
And welcome, by the way, to this wonderful place.
In love and light, P

Posted - Dec 21 2005 : 2:11:49 PM Patricia, I stumbled upon this animal communication thread and have chills from reading the old posts. Thank you for sharing your talents. For a year now I have been caring for two furry children (dogs), both have had radiation treatment for cancer. I couldn't love them more. While I've always felt that we connect/communicate with animals, society in general, doesn't accept that premise, does it? Friends think my husband and I are half-crazy for the level of devotion we have shown to our two-legged sick children. So, thanks for your input and sharing. Helps this care-giver. Finally, how is your health now? I certainly hope you are feeling better. I must check out your website! Rebekah

Posted - Nov 16 2005 : 09:58:42 AM Patricia,
I have acquired a stray kitten that keeps pooping everywhere but in the litter box!! I'm about to pull out my hair. My dog & other cat have gotten used to him, but the older cat, Hobbes, seems sad and depressed. I carry him around and give him lots of hugs & kisses, but I'm worried about him. I'm trying to think of what I could barter. I do have some rasberry jam & plum jelly that I put up this summer. Let me know.

Posted - Oct 05 2005 : 8:19:16 PM I've been so busy painting my house and "stuff" that I've missed a lot on this list for the last few days. This topic is VERY interesting. I love animals like CRAZY and kids too. But . . . our kids and all our animals have had such difficult problems. I have often wondered if there is something wrong with me . . . am I causing the problems? They seem to love me (and my husband) but still, they are . . . off somehow. I'm afraid to bring anymore pets into my home . . . some terrible things have happened and I don't think I can take the chance anymore. Right now things are OK. The two dogs we have now are the best. Perhaps I have something you might like Patricia . . . would you talk with me?

Posted - Oct 02 2005 : 3:40:12 PM Kim, when Snackee is up and running again, I'll for sure let you know. Thanks for the interest.
I'm so glad you'll be watching the movie! Trust me, you'll have millions of questions. Luckily, Stuie has millions of answers, lol. Not all of them the ones we want to hear, tho.
Please post your comments on the "What the Bleep" thread Clare started. That way, we'll literally all be on the same page.
Thanks! Happy watching!

Posted - Oct 02 2005 : 3:20:08 PM ...and now I know the rest of the story! Thanks for taking the time to explain. Do let us know when you are up and running again. It sounds like a very interesting concept for a business.
My daughter just rented "what the bleep" for me, so i'm down for the count. popcorn (from soapmaven) and pen and pad in hand. I'll post questions on the movie discussion post. It's already getting interesting. tell stu thanks again!
an added note: All you farmgirls sound so busy that I'm certain somehow you all get 48 hours in a day. I've been reading MJ's back issues and I am convinced she not only has the extra hours but she MUST have 2 brains!!! All that smarts can't be in just one!

Posted - Oct 02 2005 : 3:05:26 PM Kim, I mentioned Snackeesacs somewhere as something I'm willing to trade for things. Here's the story: my daughter Christina started her own clothing line when we lived in L.A. It's called Snackee ( you can't say it without smiling). She uses American sweatshop-free manufacturers and 10% of each piece or line goes to an appropriate charity. For instance, the sleepwear $ goes to research on Sleep Disorders like Sleep Apnea (which her old mom has), her pet line goes to the Burbank animal rescue, etc. I make her line of tote bags and purses called Snackeesacks. Each one is a one-of-a-kind and made from best grade cotton, linen and dupioni silk. Each one is my own design and made by me. We sold them in L.A. to boutiques but most people snapped them up as I made them so we didn't get many out into stores, ha ha. Chrissy moved to SLC with us and bought her own home so she has had her hands full and hasn't done anything lately with Snackee yet. When she's settled, she'll relocate everything here. She's also taking care of her Dad, who is suffering from cancer. He's living in the apartment in her two-family, so she has her hands full, bless her little heart.
I took a bunch of photos that didn't come out very well that Aunt Jenny has because I'm trading her Snackeesacks for canned goods.
And that's the Snackee story!

Posted - Oct 02 2005 : 2:20:54 PM How fun Patricia..and I am glad that you saved back my chicken tote!!! I MUST have it..haha I will email you my phone #. I will be gone to a family birthday party tonight, and then will be home most of the day tomorrow. Having a couple birhtday parties here though..the best time to get me tomorrow will be probably between like 11am and 2pm if that works for you.. I have a kid party after school for youngest daughter's birthday and then will have a family party that night at 7:30. It would be hard to talk much when I have a house full of people. I have to run to the next town in the morning tomorrow for some last minute party stuff..may be home before 11, but for sure by then. I have been planning out what all to bring up that way!! OR>>>if you are a nightowl like me you could always call late tonight. after 9:30 I should be home and the kids put to bed and all..I am up as late as midnight about every single night so if that works better for you you could call then. I need to go to Lindon to look at a cow too...and may stop at the DI in American fork so if it is easier to meet up that way a little more I can do that. Up to you. Anyway..I look forward to talking and for sure to meeting you!!! How fun that you got to meet Tanya!! talk to you later!!!

Posted - Oct 02 2005 : 09:19:33 AM Jenny, I can explain itthe way Stuie explained it to me. Think of your life as a table top. When you're born, it's blank. Nothing on it. Then you have your first experience, so now there's a glass on the table. With every experience you have, another glass is put on the table and as this happens, the space between the glasses gets smaller, making the illusion of smaller space (time). Do you get it? If not, Stu can explain it further.
BTW, let's talk on the phone to make plans for Tuesday. Email me your phone number and I'll call you. Woo Hoo!
Tanya Hansen came over yesterday with her girls for dinner. She was in town for an LDS convention. We had the best time. Stu cooked and made her a loaf of his fabulous bread. She brought me canned fruit and jam and the three of them picked out Snackeesacks in return. (Don't worry - she wanted your chicken one, but I told her it was taken! Maybe I should make more chicken ones...) We had a great time and took photos which we'll post when we get them developed.
Can't wait to meet you, Farmgirl!
Love, P
