Posted - Jun 21 2010 : 05:21:29 AM After years of a sore mouth, I started using plain baking soda to brush my teeth. It's amazing the difference it makes to me. I think I'm very sensitive to flouride.
I didn't like dipping my brush into the baking soda, so I cleaned out a plastic honey bear jar -- the kind that looks like a bear and has a cover with a small hole for pouring the honey. Once the jar dried, I put the baking soda in it, and I know have pourable baking soda that goes on my toothbrush easily. Suzanne |

Posted - Jul 02 2010 : 6:40:12 PM I ran out of toothpaste about a month ago and went to BS. I love how smooth it makes my teeth feel. And how cheap it is too. Can't beat that.

Posted - Jun 30 2010 : 7:18:13 PM My mother used baking soda all her life and when she died, she had almost all her teeth and there were in great shape. She never had teeth problems. I think it was the baking soda. I tried to follow that but I have to use only a little bit at a time.

Posted - Jun 21 2010 : 2:15:20 PM I make my own toothpaste with 1 cup of baking soda, 1/3 cup of glycerin, and 1 teaspoon of peppermint essential oil. I love it, and wouldn't use anything else! That makes more of a paste, and I keep it in little jars (like pimento or baby food jars.)
