Some of us farmgirls are in this situation, and know there are others out there! Perhaps we can be of some encouragment to one another, etc. Lets here from you! Bone issues, permanent injuries, other health issues that can hamper our days and at times quality of life! Solutions that some of you may want to share, easier ways of doing things, etc. I am sure more than a few of us might be struggling with a physical 'handicap' of some type or even with a family member, aging parents, etc. Lets share and support one another, because the 'bad days' can be pretty tough sometimes! Blessings to all, Linda

Hey everybody! Hope all are doing well. May I ask for prayer? The daughter that I share an apt with, she is a longtime Border's employee, soon to become yet another unemployment statistic in our land. As well as the job, it is a 'family' of workers at her store. They have great friendships and there is just a lot of grief in this. Thank you, ladies!

Prayers and blessings to all of you,
linda

HI Ladies,
Been thinkin of ya, but just too busy getting my crafting work done and my contest winner gifts together. Just when I thought I was caught up I looked on my list and had two contests to fulfill! Yikes!

So, thank goodness I know Jess is so patient and kind with me. I finally got the quilt finished and sent to Maryann. I hope she likes it. I put alot of love and hours in to that. It really looked so pretty.

I used a pink fabric for the backing and hand tied it together to save time so she would have it this year!!! lol

Hope you all are keeping busy doing some kind of craft project or Bible study and keeping your mind off your troubles!

Hugs,
Marsha

Well I went to the urologist and he told me my vagina ect are so brittle he cannot do surgery till I stay on a estrogen suppository cream for awhile. I go in 2 weeks to outpatient at the hospital for testing and then go back to the urologist to go from there. The test sound HORRIBLE.... pray I can endure it, I will be awake thru them. Then both my heart and RA doctor doubled my meds again. I slept most of the day yesterday and woke up so so confused I thought it was the next day. I scare myself, I am 51 but am acting like my xhusbands mom of 91??? Speaking of he is out there right now still trying to find a full time job still. What have ya'll heard about us losing our social security???? I am really scared about that. I know as Christians we are not suppose to be scared, I need to work on that. Love you all, Nancy

Well went to my heart doctor and my RA doctor and they both increased my meds by double.... Tomorrow I have an appointment with a urologist because my bladder sling I had 11 years ago seems to be no long working, my bladder has fallen again and I have to wear depends at night and a heavy pad during the day. I have my medicare now but was disappointed with the cost even after I used it. My finances are really bad so am really scared what this is going to cost me. I know I have no choice as it is also noe affecting my bowels with everything dropping. I had a total hysterectomy many years ago so I guess there is nothing to hold things up anymore. The meds I am on just make me fall asleep at anytime no matter what I am doing! Scary! I have filed again for charity with the hospital so at least maybe it will help with my hospital stay. Oh and my ENTIRE family agreed that my X should move back in the cabin with me and be my nurse maid, so he has. I won't marry him until he gets a full time job with benefits. He really does help and I really am in a mess with all my health issues, Please Please continue to pray for my health and him to get a full time job with benefits. Thanks, Love you all, Nancy

Hope everyone is enjoying the 4th! Nancy, in the Carol Wright gift catalogs, and ones like it, most have a foam rubber type strip to 'seal' the crack. Maybe look into that? Think her catalog is online as well at www.carolwrightgifts.com
Good luck!

Hope everybody doing ok? I have felt a lot better than latley? However there is A LOT of family stress right now and that never helps.

Everyone take care.

I totally agree! I try to read my bible every day! I believe if someone repents and asks for forgiveness we are to give it too them. If we do not forgive those who have hurt us especially when they ask for forgivness then He will not forgive us.
OK on another subject :) My granddaughter who is 4 spent the night with me last night, she is such a snuggle bug so I pushed the twin beds that when together make a king bed but if you lay in the center they tend to come apart, I put her on top of pillows, lol, anyway what do you call something that can lay in the crack of the mattresses to make sure they do not slide apart? I don't have carpet because of my log cabin so they can slide. I got a mattress cover plus regular king size sheets but you can still see the crack between the matteresses. Any Idea's ladies? Thank you so much :) Love ya'll, Nancy

Good Evening Ladies!

I see life is what it always is, giving unexpected turns just when you thought everything was going smoothly. Satan is going to keep trying to make us turn away from God and forget that he is the only one that can help us keep getting through each trial successfully by trusting in him and praying for his holy spirit to give us the power and strength beyond what is normal to make it through each day.

Reading the Bible daily before I go to bed has made a world of difference in my dreams and my outlook each day. I just keep thinking of Paradise and life when there is no more sickness, pain, death or sorrow.

Hold on to the "REal Life" that is coming at God's appointed time and you will be able to live forever on a peaceful new world full of happy and loving people.

Thank ya'll so so much! He had an interview yesterday for work at the hospital that is full time and has wonderful benefits! It went very well so please all of ya'll pray he gets it! My youngest son told me Robert was a very brave and strong man and he wishes for us to get back together so that is a great relief off of my mind! My mom has also said she thinks maybe this is what it took for him to come around and realize what it takes to be a good husband so things are looking up! Well I am exhausted right noe I have had the grandkids for 3 days and 2 nights non stop and my energy is down to zero so I am going to get my clothes ect hung out on the clothesline and then get some rest. Thank you girls for your advise :) It is so nice to get other opinions :) My X went down front at church and confessed his leaving me and that he lost the wife he loved and family due to his actions. He has apologized to me on his knees and truely I love him. He is rather slow in his thinking, always was very shy, his uncle was my dads best friend and I grew up with him in church. I am his first wife, we married when he was 50. I tryed to talk to him when we were young and he was always so shy he would'nt say much. One of the things that I enjoy is having a (past) with him by knowing his family. We have decided when he can get a full time job and support me I will marry him again. I am totally disabled so I also get my social security , not much but on July 1st I will have medicare and great prescription rates! I am sooo excited to have insurance again! My mother has accepted him and me remarrying him and so has my oldest son. I am waiting to hear from my youngest son 30 years old. He is looking in earnest for a job and I know I need someone with me due to my health. He knows all my bad traits and health problems and wants to be here for me so I will keep ya'll updated. Love ya'll, Nancy

Nancy,
You know its hard to give advice to someone about a decision like this, you know how your family feels, so make alist of the good and bad and see which one has the most going for you. Pray for God's guidance and trust your heart, only you can walk in your shoes and only you can decide if you can trust that this won't happen again.

My friend of 35+ years is going thur this situation (different reasons) they have been married over 30years, he was seeing someone else she caught him at it and told him to leave. He came back and wanted to try again, she has a farm in south central MO, but he wanted to be in this area so she said yes (against her kids wishes) he moved her back to Kansas, long story short is he had kept the girlfriend and was counting on the wife to sell her farm in Mo. His plans were to leave her and get half of the money for him and girlfriend. But my friend decided to hold on to the farm until enconomy got alittle better, then sell and have some money for their old age, he was against that!! Now she knows why and found out that the girlfriend was still in the picture, needless to say she told him to get out and not come back. She's glad she moved back to this area cause she has friends and family here to help her get on her feet, but she won't be selling the farm anytime soon. He's not going to get a cent of it.
She is 60 yrs old and starting over (scary), now she is trying to find ways to be self sufficent and find a job.

So I'm praying for you to become self-sufficent and if you can get back on your 1st husband's SS to support your self then pray that you don't have to give that up and depend on someone else. Good Luck on whatever you decide, only you can make that decision and hope you don't find yourself in this situation again.

Hi Ladies,
Well my life has been a roller coaster. I am trying to keep calm so my RA does'nt go into a flare and my blood pressure will not go up too high and affect my heart. My husband who left me is wanting to come back. I still love him but my family is still very angry with him and I fear I will lose my family, mom, sisters, sons ect. if I take him back. He is a wonderful grandfather even tho he is not their biological grandfather. As ya'll know he died at age 47 and they don't remember him. I do not know what to do. He still only works part-time and I am fixing to be on my first husbands social security so I can finacially make it without him but I get so lonely at times that I cry all day long. He says he will find a full time job and we will never say the divorse word again. What should I do????

Hi Dear Friends,

My goodness Brenda I hope you get some help from the kids and grandkids a day or two before you move. In only 22 days. yikes, I will pray you don't overdue it and pace yourself like Sherrye said.

That was a great article about the ants I really enjoyed learning something new from around the world.

I'm finishing up the quilt for a barter and my poor shoulder injury is screaming at me. I slept wrong somehow. And, it flaired up and then sewing on the border didn't help it. DH is massaging it daily and I sleep on my back and that keeps the shoulders from locking up on me and causing unbareable pain during the day.

I'll have dh sew the binding on for me. He is good at helping out when I can't. Gotta love him!

I'm almost to 100 sales in my Jeanpatch shop. So, I'm having a contest this month to help me reach it. So exciting!

Take care of yourself and keep in touch. :D Marsha

Hey Sherrye,
That is odd because just this morning I was telling my son what I knew about honey! Back in the day when antibiotics were not around they would dress the wound with honey due to bacteria not being able to live it in so the wound would'nt get infected! That God of ours is a very smart God :) Hugs, Nancy

yes marsha, me too. i am so disappointed when that happens. we are plowing through life here one day at a time. i do get frusterated with how long recovery can take. i feel so achey this am i think a truck hit me. ouch all over. well any way i am still here and getting better now. when i am sick i feel like i weigh 500 pounds. thank goodness for me i try to remember....this too shall pass. so anyway,, i wanted to comment on the article in the awake. i know marsha has read it. it tells of honey ants. it is in india or africa. a girl goes and finds a ant hill. she tells the folks this is a real treat where they live. she digs 3 feet down and follows a tunnel. it leads to ANTS hanging upside down with honey in their BUTTS.LOL many times. so she grabs them up and shoves them in her mouth. yum.??? probably perfect food though. protein and honey. amazing they bathe themselves in a antibiotic they make. they are pure. the honey is what is called HONEYDEW. way cool. it comes from the acaia tree. so Jehovah has everything just so. what a perfect symbiosis life cycle. as we all have acknowledged here before. He is an amazing Creator. i just wanted to share about the ants. happy days sherrye

Thank you Sherrye, I'm going to do one room a day, maybe! It will probably take me several days per room. With DH not working he can help me out alot. As I'm going along, I'm trying to downsize on what I move. The rest will go to charity. My problem is I sit and think about why I have what I do, who gave it to me, etc. But if I've not used it for the last year, I don't need it. I think I'm at a stage in my life, that I don't want clutter, I want breathing space around me. I do feel this is a God thing and I'm going to let him guide me through. Happy day everyone! Brenda

Good Morning Ladies, I will be needing prayers, as I have 22 days to move. We found a place, still a duplex, that will be much better for me physically. Where we are right now is on a concrete slab and it's killing me from the moisture in the flooring. And I feel like I'm in a fish bowl, mom can see everytime I'm outside or when we leave the house. And she'll call and ask where you going, or what are you doing outside!!!!! This new place has a basement under it and I'm praying that it will help my legs and hips some. I'll have a lot of trees across from me and a big open area behind me. It is so peaceful to look out and sit outside. As it is right now, I just don't go out, no visiting with neighbors, because I know the phone will be ringing. Have started packing and find that I'm alot slower now getting it done. I will only be a block away from mom, but I will have my privacy. So girls if you could pray that the body holds up and gets this all done I would really appreciate it. I do send prayers for all of you that you are doing well! Thank you! Brenda
