Posted - Jan 03 2009 : 06:10:48 AM Lots of water, lots of fresh fruit and a B12 Vitamin helped me a lot. I had a very week immune system due to a number of illnesses that were back to back. I avoided dairy and just ate a LOT of fruit and drank tons of water. After about 2 weeks, I was totally feeling better. (((HUGS)))

Posted - Jan 03 2009 : 06:04:13 AM Sheila, I had a weak immune system at one time, too. Mainly because of all the garbage my doctor had me on for Lupus. After I threw all the meds out, I started drinking elderberry juice. It is an old native American remedy for colds and flu and I haven't had one in 3 years now! The juice is rather spendy, so if you can't find it at a reasonable price, they also have tablets/capsules in the health food stores and I'm told they work well, too.
If you happen to have elderberries growing in your area, they ripen in late fall. It will save you some money if you can pick them yourself and juice them.
