Posted - Dec 12 2008 : 11:56:39 AM is it that you get this one maverick hair that grows like a weed on your chin? I'm an esthetician and I've plucked it, waxed it, shaved it and just when I think it's gone.... its about an inch longer! I was at the store this morning and caught a glimpse of my reflection in the mirror. I just about spit up! That outlaw chin hair was so long it curled! Mother Nature.... this is NOT funny!

Posted - Dec 19 2008 : 12:39:49 AM Just wait until you go through menopause - you'll have more chin hairs than you shake a stick at. What I can't figure out is if you pluck them, how can they grow back in within 24 hours?? I have to pluck every day. Some day when I'm rich I'm going to get laser hair removal.
I made my daughters promise that if I got sick and had to be in the hospital or was in a nursing home, that they'd come and take care of my facial hair. I might be in a coma but I'm not to have long facial hairs!

Posted - Dec 16 2008 : 3:32:20 PM You know.... we could make a million on marketing a Swiss Rearview Mirror, specifically for women. It should have a light (a bright one), a fold out magnifying glass, a cubby for a pair of tweezers, and some soothing lotion like what they put on you at the salon after a wax! I know.... I'm warped.

Posted - Dec 13 2008 : 08:24:17 AM You guys are TOO funny! At least we can laugh about this horrible little thing that's happening to us. I have them, too. And they do seem to pop up when least expected, don't they? I carry the tweezers with me, too. In fact, while in Col. driving home, there was really good light coming in and i got lots of those things pulled! And driving, too. It's amazing what we women can do behind the wheel.
My 91 year old friend has the longest chin hair you can imagine. I know she doesn't see it. I want to pull it out so bad it hurts. Thank goodness she's gone for two months. Maybe her daughter will see it and it'll be gone when she gets back.
Happy tweezin', ya'll! Kris |
