Despite a pretty good diet, I still get it. Anyone have a "natural" cure?

Posted - Oct 13 2008 : 10:31:14 AM I have had luck with Papaya tablets. I always carry them in my purse...and before and after eating I eat 5 or 6. They have a pleasant flavor.

Posted - Oct 12 2008 : 3:52:05 PM My two cents. Table spoon of baking soda in a room tempature glass of water. It is alkaline and neutralizes the acid in your stomach, but more importantly the acid trapped in your esophagus. Hope you feel better. |

Posted - Sep 28 2008 : 3:22:04 PM I put apple cider vinegar (1 tablespoon) in a glass of ice cold water and drink it down quickly. It gets rid of hearburn immediately for my husband and I. Hope one of these ideas will work for you.

Posted - Sep 27 2008 : 1:59:29 PM I am a massage therapist. When I was in school if anyone felt like the had heartburn we were told to get a class of water and put real lemon juice in it. Lemon juice does the opposite in the stomach. It neutralizes acid. If it hasnt helped in 30 min. Then put vinegar in a glass of water. Sometimes heartburn might be that you dont have enough acid in your stomach. Hope this helps Deborah

Posted - Sep 25 2008 : 10:48:21 AM Just a suggestion. I get heartburn from some medications, fish oil caplets and anything with yeast in it. I watched my diet and wrote items down that caused the heartburn and now I don't have heartburn. Its amazing life without heartburn.

Posted - Sep 25 2008 : 10:33:14 AM Spearemint Leaf Tea works great. I drink it like water when I am pregnant and I get TERRIBLE heartburn. Calcium...especially liquid works good too. |

Posted - Sep 25 2008 : 07:55:13 AM don't have a cure, but maybe you could keep a food journal and not everything you eat then maybe this will help you to find the "trigger". best of wishes to you.
