hi gal friends---I am so happy to say that winter is almost over here------does not last long but because of the high ceilings and no central heating the homes are cold.....but I survived.My husband and I went to a different place in India to stay warm. It was nice and warm and relaxing.....but now I am entertaining 2 gals from the states for a very brief time......miss the USA, but am staying here.

One more week and I leave for Boston, Massachusetts-----hooray. Feeling much better---but just want to be home...home.

If I ever go back-----still suffering with arthitic like symptoms----prayers needed gal friends,that the treatment I am undergoing speeds up total recovery from this chicken guinia....yuk. I just want to come home to the USA and get ready to garden in the spring.

Beverly - Sorry to hear that you have not been feeling well! I too, have been sick for a month, stomach problems and it leaves me feeling weak, if I go shopping for a short while I am down in bed o on the couch for several hours afterward! This is got to be the worst time of year to be ill especially if it is prolonged! Please, do your best to pamper yourself or be pampered! |

Take care Beverly. Just got an email from my brother, he told me it is still 86 F. in the late evening in Thailand :D

I will find out Sue------have been down with a horrible illness that leaves one with "instant arthritis that stays for about 6-8 weeks---I am miserable.......will be coming back to the states the end of January----hopefull I will be totally back to normal.

Making them out of various types of pink material---cardboard bottoms thus far----must find rubber for the bottom.
I have a room that I have made into a sewing room---it has blue tables and yellow metal cabinets------its looking good.

All is well here in New Delhi----weather is in the 90's. Starting my pink slipper making to give out to women with. cancer. Also checking out a group who is very involved in global warming---, recycling, etc......so I guess I am staying busy. Happy , but I miss my grand daughter so much....you grand mothers must know what I mean. ttyl

happy to report that the opening of the Commonwealth Games we4nt off just fine----really nice. The games have started and all seems well thus far.

Gal Friends,,,,the monsoons are gone---its warm BUT very tolerable. New Delhi has really hustled for these Commonwealth Games to begin....opening is Sunday......I'm happy for India that these games are going to take place. It looked a little questionable because of the lengthy monsoons putting everything behind schedule.
I have my skype figured out----for anyone who might be interested. I will end for now......and heres hoping this week I can figure out putting pictures for you all...you've got to see how green New DElhi is at this time.

Gal friends, I feel so blessed----do you know every now and then I get stuck in a muddy area---or a downpour happens---I have yet to get my sandeled feet dirty or how lucky is that????? Really.

Jo, if you are ever planning to come this way let me know. New Delhi is a real mess now.....and I do feel sorry for any tourists here...but by December I would hope there would be improvement....thats the weddding season. Are you working with the medical team to help with cleft palates? Get back and let me know..the guest room awaits you.

hello Beverly...... I went to Haryana last year. It was a great trip, I loved the fabrics and the smell of the cooking. I've become a whiz with tumeric and enjoy cooking the foods from there now. Lots of of cumin, fenugeek..... We're big chickpea fans now and I can cook a screaming good vindaloo!
Hope life is treating you well, I don't miss the roads there! Rough, rough, rough!

Yesterday I went to visit a group of women who are deaf.....they make handcrafts, learn beauty parlor skills, learn computer skills.Unfortunately it seems they are not doing well....one major door has closed on them to earn some money---they are feeling bad about that.....they say that they need to have new products....I came with a few new ideas--my mind is creative.....my skills are so -so......its strange how God works---my timing on bringing these ideas could not have been better....now I will be visiting and sharing with them once a week.
Where I go is a nightmare to find---its in a poor, dirty, very hard to find spot.....I go through a few alleys of a major bazaar to get to---me with the poor sense of direction....I just laugh.
The ideas I have given them so far are a calling card folder you carry your cards in, a purse organizer, and a 6 sectional notebook folder that folds up. This is stepping out of their box a little--I must go and make sure they are comfortable doing this....they might have been just polite yesterday.....we'll see.

today I went to a bakery run by 2 canadians----really good cheats at very reasonable prices.....having company tomorrow so wanted to visit this bakery---but in the future will have them deliver---which they do every Monday. Walking into it it swmelled BAKERY loud and clear----my favorites are the cheese pastry.....but the mini lemon merigue pies looked spectacular.
the driving in India is horrible----I have an excellent driver but sometimes I just look the other way.....I always say god really spares the Indians......there is no road raqge----but you shoud=ld see the driving----unreal.
