Dear Ladies:

I live in NYC and can't find Mary Jane's Farm magazine. All the Barnes
and Nobles don't carry it and it's not at any other shops. Does anyone know where in NYC I could get a copy?

Okay, so now I found the magazine topic. I had created a new topic before finding this. Anyway, I found the Mary Janes Farm magazine at Hastings today. I will probably go ahead and put in my order for a subsscription. I love this magazine!

I have an idea ... lots of questions etc etc. Being we are the creative farm gals that we are & always coming up with something new,
I did and just posted it on my Etsy site but I keep thinking... what about the legal issues ??? Is there any possibility of having someone mentor us through the red tape of the business side of things when your located "down on the farm".
I know that with Etsy sites & the new farmgirl USA site coming etc that alot of us have questions. Could we have a column in the mag. to help with this, please.

AAAA! Oh the withdrawals!!!!!! May seems so far away!!!! Ok, I'm fine now, I think. I will be mature and wait patiently, sort of!! I know it will be worth the wait.

I absolutely can't wait for the new workbook and magazine - it's fun things like this that make May seem so far away! Autumn is a great time for a stitching room workbook, too - as winter is THE project time for sewing around here...

XOXO, Libbie

McKenzie Mist ~
Hi neighboring 'farmgirl at heart' friend! Welcome to the Farmgirl Connection Forum!! You'll meet lots of terrific new friends here!! Thank you for asking about the next MJF magazine ~ here are the details regarding the next issue that Carol posted awhile back ~ ~
The latest on the magazine now is that it will be on sale May 2. Some of the big chains that carry our magazine (like Wal-Mart) have new policies in place that say if you're going to increase the price of a magazine, you have to give them 90 days notice. The reason for that? A special issue that
includes a cookbook and nearly 40 more pages. BUT, we think you'll be pleased. Instead of the Artists in Aprons issue that we had planned (that's still coming, but will now be the next issue), we are going to give you a cookbook along with most of the regular sections of the magazine. For this
issue, instead of a catalog of our products, we're publishing recipes using MaryJane's Budget Mix (a kind of organic all-purpose baking mix) that will include breakfast items, appetizers, panbreads, BakeOvers, FoldOvers and desserts. We'll give you the option of making your own Budget Mix or buying ours. We've been testing the recipes here at the farm (Whimsy_girl has also been graciously helping), and we think you'll love them! Because it will be a cookbook as well as a magazine, we increased the price of this issue to $7.99.
We're so sorry you have to wait a little longer, but we've been also been working on our Stitching Room workbook. We've increased the size of it by almost 100 pages, so it probably won't be available until fall. Since we do all the sewing, cooking, writing, editing, photography, and design of our books and magazines here at the farm, it takes the time it takes. It will be worth the wait ... I promise!

Thank you very much for your enthusiasm and patience!! While you're waiting, would you consider joining in the fun of being a MJF Farmgirl Chapter Leader? Let me know and I'll e-mail the information!
sunnily yours,
Cindylou

Well, Jenny, you can give my seat to another farmgal. The airfare is just too steep for us. But, hubby says I can save up for next year! I so appreciate your offer to ride up with you. And, Patricia, I also appreciate your offer to stay the night with you before heading to Jenny's. Oh, I am so going to have to fight envy!!!

Thanks gals...y'all are the greatest!

Blessings
Catherine

Hi Lacy! My goodness, I've just taken a look at your blog site ~ your "farmgirl" wedding plans are just awesome! The sugar mold centerpieces, straw bales for seating and the vintage linens for decoration will be absolutely lovely!! Have you thought of using vintage linens for table runners?
I'm thrilled that you are considering making the trip up to the farm for Farm Fair and the Farmgirl campout after your honeymoon in Jackson Hole. You two could certainly camp in the wheat field ~ just remember it's not an official camp ground, so you'd need to have your own water supply. Perhaps you could treat yourselves to a night in one of MaryJane's wall tents ~ you know, continue the honeymoon in style!! Your sweetie might want to go fishing with Diane's dear hubby! I look forward to meeting you both!!

well, truthfully, I think once my fi decides to go (b/c he will!!!) he'll enjoy it as much as me! But now I have to decide on the campout... it sounds like SO much fun! If I must bring him with me, can anyone camp away from the "Farmgirl" tent? How does it work?

Jenny - that would be great! I am figuring out how to break the news to my spouse and babe - I can't wait! I'm figuring out just what I'm going to use for my oh-so-maternity apron...a single person tent, maybe?

I'm trying desprately to convince my fiance to make the farm fair part of our honeymoon! We're going to Jackson Hole in June to go hiking for it,(which, when you're coming from Texas, is practically there) and I promised him I'd do all the fishing he wants if he'll come with me to the Fair! Maybe I'll see all you ladies there!

Happy Wishes!

Catherine...nearest airports are either St. George (about 3 and 1/2 hours south of me) or SLC which is where Patricia is Just so you know...there arn't any other "real" airports in Utah.
