A big kudos to Maryjane! We used our key limes and chillover and WOW, it's the best stuff. The texture is far superior to any type of gelatin I've used. I reduced the sugar in the recipe so we it's a major pucker/sour but we love it! I had purchased it a couple of months ago and memories of old gelatin had kept me from really using it. It reminds me of the gels you eat in Japan only better............. jo

Hello to you again Jayne and everyone else here...... I finally used the bakover after my chillover success! I cooked a pot of black beans, rice, onions and everything else in my icebox and then through the bakeover on top. My husband thinks Maryjane is a genius now.......... !

Jayne -

I checked in with MaryJanesFarm, and they said that they DO ship to Australia via USPS, and they haven't heard of any of their foods being stopped at the border, so I think you're in luck!

OOOoooohhhh - I haven't tried the chocolate/cayenne version, but I just LOVE the spicy/chocolate combination. I think I know what we're having for dessert tonight!

XOXO, Libbie

Hi all,
I have MaryJane's book and would love to try the Chillover recipes. I already use agar agar instead of gelatine and would love to know the quantity in one packet of Chillover? I just don't think I would be able to buy it and get it through quarantine here - Australian quarantine laws are very strict. Alternatively, do you have an Australian supplier of MaryJane's products? Here's hoping someone can help, but I understand if you don't want to give away trade secrets!!
Best wishes,
Jayne

The recipe is in the Spring 2006 Mary Jane's Farm on page 176. I've made several of the Chillovers but this is my favorite. I live for dark chocolate and raspberries.

I love the Chillover too. Last week I made the Chocolate & Cayenne Chillover, folded in some frozen raspberries but it in a graham cracker crust and served it by the slice. My three men fought over the last piece. I forgot one time to folded in the whipped cream until it was well set, so I just beat it with my mixer and then folded in the whip cream. Turned out just fine. I plan on making several "pies" with different Chillovers to serve at a staff luncheon later this month. So far I've found you can't get too much Chillover. Chill-On
