This may sound nuts, but I read a post somewhere (but, of course, can't remember where) about a chicken obstacle course. I'm a volunteer for our County Fair and help to organize entertainment, and thought that a chicken event sounded great; our 4-Hers would love it; and I'd like to get more details. Does anyone have any information on something like this?

Our neighbor and her daughter did a rabbit obstacle course for the county fair, I'll bet it would work a lot the same way. The rabbits were coaxed along a course that had tipping teeter totters, went though assorted objects. It was great! I know the idea has been used in other counties in MN. Good luck with the chickens. If you get video of it in action I'm sure this would be a great place to share it.

laura, my 2 youngest boys did a rat maze that had doors they had to open and close for a bio project in H.S. one year, got 1st prize, then they set it up for the fair one year just for fun for the kids to see, it was a blast...

I have the plans somewhere of a rat basketball court. We saw one years ago at the science center in Dallas TX. The rats were trained to play basketball. So cute.

do it as maze, with food as a lure, they used to have these sort of things at Knott's Berry Farm, and its just repation(sp?), and I would use bantys, as so many children and adults alike love minnys...
