Hello Everyone,
I am grieving for my beautiful palomino quarter horse Sonny, who lost his battle with colic. We buried him in his favorite pasture yesterday. He was a wonderful friend and companion for the past ten years. His pasture mates are grieving too; strangely gazing toward his resting place. Everyone assures me that we did all that we could do, and I hope that they are right. His vet was so kind and caring throughout all of this.
Just needed a place to express my sorrow, knowing that you would understand.

Linda, so sorry to hear about your horse. That is good that he was burried in his favorite place. It's so sad to lose a pet like that.

Oh Linda! I am so sorry for your loss! Losing a horse is losing a friend. A few years ago some friends of mine lost a horse due to complications with Glaucoma and she was one of my all time favorites. I felt like I had lost my horse, not theirs! *hugs*

So sorry to hear of your loss. Sonny surely had a good home for 10 years and you are fortunate to be able to bury him in his pastture. It is funny how the other horses know what happened. We lost a horse to colic once and it is so sad. Remember the good times. MB

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Our animal family members are so important and so treasured. How nice you could bury him in his favorite pasture.
