Hello Everyone, I am grieving for my beautiful palomino quarter horse Sonny, who lost his battle with colic. We buried him in his favorite pasture yesterday. He was a wonderful friend and companion for the past ten years. His pasture mates are grieving too; strangely gazing toward his resting place. Everyone assures me that we did all that we could do, and I hope that they are right. His vet was so kind and caring throughout all of this. Just needed a place to express my sorrow, knowing that you would understand. Linda from TN
So sorry to hear of your loss. Sonny surely had a good home for 10 years and you are fortunate to be able to bury him in his pastture. It is funny how the other horses know what happened. We lost a horse to colic once and it is so sad. Remember the good times. MB

Oh Linda! I am so sorry for your loss! Losing a horse is losing a friend. A few years ago some friends of mine lost a horse due to complications with Glaucoma and she was one of my all time favorites. I felt like I had lost my horse, not theirs! *hugs*
