Thanks, we got them from a local farm, we have seen the parents for years and they are such great birds, we're glad to have them!!

We had some leftovers yesterday from MOndays hatch at work and it took everything in me to not bring 'em all home! I have just about one of everything except for ornamental chickens but those are the ones that are so fun to watch! Hoping to add a couple of cherry eggers (Catalana's) next year to my flock. I also want to add Polish, Appenzellers, and a Barnevelder! My hubby is going to flip his lid!

There's nothing cuter than opening a box and seeing fuzzy, downy heads peeping as loud as they can

When we got our shipment this year, I took the digital camera and placed it at the chick's level in their brooder box. Got some funny and very cute chick pictures. Was kind of tough though under a red lamp. Figured best to leave it on rather than blind the little ones w/ a flash.

What kind are they? Mine are Rhode Island Reds. Got them last april. It was so cold out in the shop that I brought them in to the utility room. They were there for 48 hours and were making such a mess that out they went. I spent the next 48 cleaning up after them. We kept them in the shop for about a month before we put them out in the pen. Got our first egg yesterday!!
