I have been listening to Bette Midler's Christmas CD, and enjoying it very much. I just love her and have been a fan for years and years.
She does a new version of "From a Distance" and of course it is as beautiful of a song as ever. If I could post music here, I would post this song as my Holiday, and everyday song to all of you.

Cyndi Lauper is another one of my very favorites, she can go from wild and pop to covering the old greats...versatile!

Another good one is True Colors by Cyndi Lauper. It's like when I was a teenybopper I just "heard" the song and it's like "whatever", now I listen to the words and realize how poignant they are.
