Posted - Mar 17 2006 : 9:20:20 PM Thanks for being so understanding! Don't worry about sending something to swap for the make-up. I'm just glad you could use it --I hate having something that's perfectly usable that is just sitting around.

Posted - Mar 17 2006 : 2:47:40 PM Aunt Jenny, I've been worried to death you wouldn't like it, especially after something I found out today. I know all you ladies here who are really skilled are going to think I'm an idiot, but I'd never sewn a clothing item before. I've made quilt tops and crafts, but that's all. Today, through the course of a discussion, I found out I was supposed to put the red thread on the bobbin thingy, too. I didn't know that! The back of all the stitching on the apron is white, which is wrong. What a goof I am!
I'm glad you like it and feel like a weight has been lifted. Btw, I sure didn't make the doily. It was just a "something extra" my grandma made. I hope you like the make-up as much as I do and the color works for you. Even if it doesn't, you can wear it around the house to get the feel of it and see if you like it.
Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Posted - Mar 16 2006 : 08:51:02 AM Aunt Jenny, thank you so much for the goodies -- the flower pillow is so cute, and I really needed the "no pinches" pin for tomorrow. I don't own a single green piece of clothing! Both are so cute.
I'm sorry I didn't post last night. There's been something going on here (can't share at this point, but it's not with me specifically, but does affect me) that I was dealing with. All good wishes and prayers are appreciated. Sorry for the vagueness at this point.

Posted - Mar 15 2006 : 1:00:44 PM About 20 years ago, when we first moved here, it was normal to get a few feet per storm, and a few of those per season. We haven't had it like this in at least 10 years. It used to start earlier too. Snow in March was more like the last of the storms, not the start. It will be interesting to see if this is a start of a new weather cycle. I'm chomping at the bit to get to the P.O., but since the strom put a branch through my car's rear window, I'll have to wait for my son to get home and check for me! You guys stay safe too, Sharon
