Yes, Teri, I have a daughter-in-law who really dislikes me. She blames me for all the things my son tells her that made his life growing up so awful. He was never physically abused but suffered emothional abuse from his father who has mild Asberger's. I never held my husband's mother in hatred for all the negative things that happened in his childhood.

Just let it go. Remember that your grandchildren are seeing how their mother treats you. And someday they will call her on it wanting to know why.

Take care and stay loving,

Hugs,

Nancy

Sorry to hear that, Teri. I guess one could say it was her lose. Does she visit?
Hugs.

Marly, I have been on the other end of it ... My MIL does not like me ... no other reason that I married her son ... silly her! Now we live in KY. and she in MA. who's sorry now.

Teri: Been there, done that. Teri from Kentucky is right. Let it go. I gave all that to the Lord, I let Him deal with it.

sounds like they are the ones with the problem ... there is nothing you can do, people feel the way they want to. Go about YOUR life and let them deal with their issues.
If there are reasons you know about as to why they don't like you, and you are trying to make amends, then just know that you can't buy love or forgivness ... actions always speak louder than words.
