Posted - Dec 05 2008 : 4:11:44 PM I just did this with my family. I FINALLY wrote down my exact feelings in an email and sent it off, since my mother fains not remembering what I said or calling me a liar or just plain ignoring what I said, so she now has it in black and white...and you know what the response was??? They are still going along as if NOTHING is wrong... SO I gave myself permission to finally let it go...all of it. They truly showed me that they don't care and I am no longer going to get worked up over them and waste my time and energy.
Good for you!! Can I get a YEE HAW?!?

Posted - Dec 05 2008 : 3:25:36 PM Jamie, I think you are doing the right thing. Letting it "be", or go.... We are all different in different environments, If your hubby has found a "safe place to fall" with you............that he didnt have before, and it works for the both of you.. consider it flattery that they are jealous of that... He must be awesome for them to live in that regret. Maybe it isnt so much his failings but their own that they are projecting!
As for the kids.. Kids are bright, just be you, be happy, make your home happy and they'll make their own minds up...
GREAT job! I think you are on to something!
