Posted - Mar 14 2010 : 1:38:26 PM OK...I'm so jealous of all of you cute farmgirls with your cute little farmgirl names like MaryJane and SadieMae and AnnaBeth and BillySue and I've decided I need a farmgirl name of my own (hence my putting this post in "A Farm of my Own" - what's a farm without a farmgirl name?). So, be kind and make it cute, but someone give me a name that will be my official farmgirl name. I will add it to my signature so I can be cute like all the other real farmgirls. Anyone else wish they had a farmgirl name?

Posted - Feb 15 2013 : 1:06:28 PM I would create a name from my Grandmother and her sister's names, they were Eastern Montana homesteaders!
Rita Rose.
Hows that?

Posted - Feb 02 2013 : 7:17:12 PM I think mine would have to be Aunt B. That is what my nephew calls me since I go by Becca normally.

Posted - May 17 2010 : 3:19:26 PM Channah, I love your name. My name...to me...is farmgirlish. My given name is Tamara Lynn (fist/middle). I've been called Tami most of my life and by most everyone. I've decided that I really like Tami Lynn. Sounds country/farm/southern enough for me. :-)

Posted - May 11 2010 : 7:38:38 PM Ha! This is a great thread! My name is Melissa and growing up my cousins had trouble with my name and it turned into Miss Liss. As they got older it just shortened to Liss or Lissa. My entire family calls me Liss or Lissa now and my middle name is Anne, so I guess my Farmgirl name could be Miss Liss, Liss Anne or maybe Missy Anne...I don't know. I used Miss Liss for my screen name because I just love it so! And it reminds me of all the good times I've had with my family! :-)

Posted - Mar 19 2010 : 9:53:38 PM It's nothing important. I wrote a short story for my Aunt's publishing company, and I'm waiting to hear back. When I get older, I want to do chicklit fiction. Nothing too out of the ordinary. I actually want to do any kind of writing. I have an idea for a tv show that I want to start writing soon, when I find the time. Posted - Mar 19 2010 : 12:09:29 AM There is always my grandmother's name. Alta Fern. She was 101 when she died in 2005. They had a Hereford ranch in northwestern OK. I still remember the stories that she would tell of being a makeshift midwife (no one else around)in the middle of nowhere and her surviving the dust bowl. |
