Posted - Dec 27 2008 : 11:22:37 AM Hello, Now that Christmas is mostly past, we are looking ahead to the coming year. As we expand our farming operation (mostly organic veggies) - we are looking for suggestions for record keeping - what we grow, sell, etc...
Many warm wishes, Tonya - Homemaking, Homesteading Mom of 6

Posted - Dec 28 2008 : 04:09:01 AM I started out using quicken. Works for me. I love the fact you can see how much did I pay to.... and your amounts are right there.

Posted - Dec 27 2008 : 9:21:03 PM Along with Quickbooks I believe that there are some agricultural accounting programs that can be set up for specific fields, orchards, etc. with cost, production and income tracking. Unfortunately I don't know who makes them. I just remember reading an article about them. |

Posted - Dec 27 2008 : 12:32:16 PM I agree. I am studying to become an accountant and by far, Quickbooks is amazing. There are some free online classes that you can take to learn how to utilize it to best advantage.
