I like looking through old cookbooks, and see what someone has written, or little newspaper clipping they put in. You never know what you will find in old books.

Posted - Jan 09 2017 : 06:40:48 AM I love old books in general! For Christmas, DH got me the Gladys Taber cookbook which is proving so fun to read through! Someone has made a lot of notations all over the book, dates they tried a recipe, etc. It's fun to see "August 2, 1969" penciled in for example - makes me smile! |

Posted - Dec 29 2016 : 08:44:41 AM Nancy the Watkins cookbook bought back memories when the Watkins man came by our farm and mother bought vanilla flavoring from him. She may have bought other items but I only remember the vanilla flavoring.
