Posted - Apr 25 2016 : 6:51:37 PM I am seriously considering changing Hildy's name to "Lil Nipper!"
Only when she gets excited while playing she nips--those little tiny teeth are like razor blades-I've tried "NO!" "OUCH" pushing her away and scolding, but she ignores my pleas.
I need some advise toot sweet!
How does one train a puppy NOT to bite?
Thanks ladies...

Posted - Apr 26 2016 : 1:34:47 PM I would also suggest that you have a toy immediately available to give to her when she starts to nip. This may be a dog that should be discouraged from nipping at people and encouraged to nip at the toy instead.

Posted - Apr 26 2016 : 02:27:03 AM Melody I have the same problem with Annie who is going on four months old and growing by the minute. I'm with Grace a sharp tap on the nose is the only thing that will get Annie's attention.
