Can any of you farmgirls help? My niece, Ava, who is 8, and living in Indiana, has a school project right now to see if they can get a postcard from each of the 50 states--each card just needs to have 3 or more little facts about the state that makes it unique. We farmgirls are from everywhere, so I thought I'd post here and see if any of you had a few postcards lying about or could even make one about your state and send them to Ava? I'm from Kentucky, so that's done: Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Texas and Colorado are done, too, but I guess it couldn't hurt to have multiples from each state if you're so inclined.

If you'd like to help, feel free to email me through the forum and I will happily provide the mailing address of the school c/o her teacher.

I really hope you'll consider helping--I don't know what the cost of the postage is now, but I can sure see the joy on these kids faces as this mail comes in!!!

I'm hoping its not too late to send out. I bought my postcard on eBay because I wanted to get one that is from Battle Creek especially. I'm still waiting for it to come in the mail, but I should be able to get it out on Friday to her.

Jonni - I have to apologize but I am just sending my postcard out today. I hope she and her class enjoy it. It has key information about Pennsylvania, as well as pictures of the different regions and for what they are most noted! I think this is such a wonderful project and am just so happy that she and her class are enjoying so much success with it! Hugs - Nini

Hi Joey, I'll email you the info--
As it stands, gals, she's been getting postcards left and right and is just beyond thrilled with all the states. She thinks this is the just the coolest and her teacher is really impressed. Social networking is really good for some things :)
Thanks so much again!

You gals are the best! Her mom has been on vacation so I haven't been getting any status updates. If I know my niece, she comes home everyday with TONS of news!!!

Hey girls,
I've been offline (a very sick little baby girl) so I'm catching up with any emails I may have missed. Thanks so much for your kind attention!

Thanks so much for the continued information! Siobhan, did you send me an email? I answer several, but I can also get you through facebook if that's easier.

Just to update--postcards from states with 3 fun facts on them. I will happily provide address to mail to the school. My sil informed me just moments ago that her teacher forgot to mention that there are two "Ava's" (my niece's name) in the classroom, so please put them to the attention of "Ava Q." along with the c/o addy for the teacher/school. If you have any questions, please email me through the forum :) and Thanks again!!!

Whoops! Looks like I posted twice. Something funny happened the first time so I didn't think it showed up :)
