Thank you for the wonderful words of wisdom I received here when I asked for help regarding quitting teaching private lessons. I've finally made the decision to let my students know that I won't be resuming lessons in the fall. So, as of the end of June, I will be done.

The final in the decision making was dh coming home from an appointment and telling me that he had the most interesting conversation with his client. That client's wife is transitioning to being home. His client said that now that he makes a certain amount of money, he finally convinced his wife that they make enough that she doesn't need to work. Yeah, that amount of money is less than hubby makes. (not by much) Dh said he just thought that was an interesting statement to make because it was what his been trying to communicate to me.

So, dh wants me to be able to focus on my own music for a change, to be here for the boys as needed and do more of what I love: cooking, baking, crafting.

I did it. I sent out the emails yesterday sharing my plans. I will miss it, but I'm really excited to have time to practice and improve my own skills and maybe write a bit. Now I have to just get through the next couple of weeks!

That sounds great! And the wonderful thing about teaching music is that if you ever decided you want to start again, I am sure you could fid new students fairly quickly! :) I hope you enjoy having more time to yourself! :)

Wendy,
As a mom who stayed home and got by on dh's salary I am so happy to see you take the plunge. I don't think you will regret it. I know you will enjoy being pulled in fewer directions. Be happy!

Nini...thank you. I'm starting to get excited and itching for the end of the month to get her.

Joey...you crack me up. All the traveling you are doing and you keep me on your mind. :) Now I'm working on schedules and stuff. Maybe I'll be able to catch back up with my penpals and that includes you.

SOOOOOOOOOO happy for you. Years ago we agreed that I would be the primary breadwinner in our house and it has worked out well for us, but every summer I'm itching to be home crafting, reading, sewing, etc. I am excited for you to have the time to invest in yourself and your family. We're almost settled, Wendy. I think of you often and promise to write SOON. Hugs, Joey
