Angela, congrats, I will be waiting a long time for a Christmas present like that.

I was spoiled this year. I received a sewing box, a new rotary cutter, MJ needlework book, the make and freeze book I read about in one of the threads here, and lots more books, an entire shirtbox filled with fuzzy footie socks and since that means we are done wrapping I get my sewing table back so I can get sewing again.

God bless,

Judy

ultimate surprise was a new-to-me cell phone complements of my brother!

He and Dad set it all up to go off in the middle of dinner. Ring tone was Madea (Tyler Perry) . The little gift bag was situated right behind my chair. I had no clue.....Amost couldn't finsh dinner I was so excited

Called the number, and it was brother!

He upgraded, and I got his cell...which BTW is an Evo 4-G. SO now Dad, brother and I are all on the same family plan...yea! (mom just has a simple trac phone....She is a technophobe and doesn't like the fancy stuff) AND this means I will be paying my brother 30.00 a month for unlimited talk, text and data... NOT a cell company. SWEET! My dad is a techie, geek anyway, so we had a fun hour in between dinner and desert going over all the bells and whistles. He gets so excited.

I'm slowly learning and have sent a few texts and made a few calls.

We get better reception on the hill out behind the house. But texting will be more than fine. Having a way to communicate while in the car (NOT moving) gives peace of mind at last too).

Can't tell you how many social engagements I have missed due to not being able to just call someone!

And a special congrats to Angela. Enjoy being a grandma and spoiling your new family addition!

My husband and I are having our 50th wedding anniversary in March, so this Christmas we gave each other one small book and a calendar. I want to build a new barn next summer.

Congratulations Angela! What a perfect Christmas blessing!

My loving hubby gifted me with a Janome sewing machine!! The sewing machine I have was from my mother-in-law (who has since past) and just never seemed to stitch well (I'll keep it no matter what!)! Oh My Gosh!! I LOVE this sewing machine!! It does everything!! My children were so thoughtful and got me slippers and some cozy socks, candles and jammies (they know me well!).

Oh my goodness, Angela, He is the most gorgeous baby ever. Many congratulations to you and the rest of your family.

I got such fun gifts. My daughter and I got each other the exact same gift set. (Too funny, we are very much a like in some ways). I got some kitchen utensils that are easy on the arthritis! A Wi game (Who wants to be a millionaire?) Pet steps for our little doggie. A great new recipe box - red and vintage.

It was fun,,, hope all my farmgirl sisters are happy, too.

What an amazing Christmas gift, Angela! No way anything material could top that, but our Christmas was very wonderful and Santa was very generous. Our daughter was super happy with the toys Santa brought, exclaiming, "Oh my gosh, mant, this is brutiful!" (she puts a "t" at the end of many words) so it was a lot of fun to watch her open gifts!

My husband booked a weekend away in Chicago for us in February to see a premier of a new Joffrey Ballet Company piece, dinner and hotel. VERY excited to get out of town! My dear mother, always the techie in the family, bought us a new flat screen tv! Guess she didn't feel like our tv from 1984 was making the cut any longer...
