Posted - Mar 01 2011 : 08:50:08 AM I've invested heavily in satellite internet for my home. I'm unable to blog, e-mail, or even access this chat from my dial-up. So, before they install, do any of you have experience or words of wisdom to share? I'm excited, but nervous too. Thanks!

Posted - Mar 01 2011 : 1:17:59 PM You're going to LOVE it! We went from a dial up to satellite.
My suggestion: Don't let any tree branches grow out to the dish, that will interfere.
Our first one was close to the eave of the house.
Now it's smack on top and high. I guess we're pretty modern around here!

Posted - Mar 01 2011 : 12:09:54 PM Got it love just make sure your dish is some where where you can clean it off. I just knocked off 6 inches of snow. Weather will effect it but not much. And watch the download amounts mine has a maxium and then it slows it self down for 24 hours. Some even charge for extra.
