Hope I don't just stand there and stare at it, you have to be inspired to do these things and not sure if that is with me today. Maybe more coffee.

There are many good books to help you identify materials they are made of, history, etc. There is a National Button Society, state societies and I collect buttons that catch my eye. I use them in sewing and quilting projects. It looks like the red ones are bakelite, one of the first plastics used. These are highly prized. Have fun. What a great way to display them so you can run your fingers through them. Enjoy!
