the Jane West doll? I was just checking out Goodwill's website and saw one up for auction. I used to have one but would get frustrated that Barbie clothes wouldn't fit :)

Jane West! Now that brings back memories. I had Jane, her son Jamie, Geronimo, Flame (her horse) and Commanchee (the horse). I also had the cardboard bunkhouse and the buckboard wagon. I don't know what happened to all of them--I think I sold them to a girl I knew and the rest at garage sales. I found a Flame several years ago at Goodwill and got it for one dollar. It's just sitting in the back of my closet, collecting dust. I didn't like Barbie but Jane sometimes drove Barbie's hot pink convertible (Jane wasn't as staid as she appeared to be). She also had a thing for my brothers' GI Joes. I can just picture her in an evening gown, dancing with GI Joe, her turquoise boots sticking out from under her dress....

Sharon~Now that gives me quite the visual!

Jane is a little short of time to get ready for the party... so she simply slips her gown over her work clothes! LOL!

I remember the television commercials, but I didn't have one. I liked Barbie and her friends.

I would imagine it's very difficult to get Barbie clothes to fit on Jane! Jane is what you would call...a big boned girl...at least in comparison to Barbie.
