the Jane West doll? I was just checking out Goodwill's website and saw one up for auction. I used to have one but would get frustrated that Barbie clothes wouldn't fit :)
I remember the television commercials, but I didn't have one. I liked Barbie and her friends.
I would imagine it's very difficult to get Barbie clothes to fit on Jane! Jane is what you would call...a big boned girl...at least in comparison to Barbie.
Jane West! Now that brings back memories. I had Jane, her son Jamie, Geronimo, Flame (her horse) and Commanchee (the horse). I also had the cardboard bunkhouse and the buckboard wagon. I don't know what happened to all of them--I think I sold them to a girl I knew and the rest at garage sales. I found a Flame several years ago at Goodwill and got it for one dollar. It's just sitting in the back of my closet, collecting dust. I didn't like Barbie but Jane sometimes drove Barbie's hot pink convertible (Jane wasn't as staid as she appeared to be). She also had a thing for my brothers' GI Joes. I can just picture her in an evening gown, dancing with GI Joe, her turquoise boots sticking out from under her dress.... Cindy
