Posted - Dec 31 2008 : 10:54:49 AM I want to buy some medium weight white dishes, something that does NOT get hot in the microwave, is durable. Almost restaurant quality without the heaviness. Any suggestions???

Posted - Dec 31 2008 : 1:21:39 PM Its Corelle for me too! They are said to be unbreakable.;) They are quite a bit cheaper than Pfaltzgraff, and as Belle said they are chip resistant. I use them all the time with my kids and so far no major destruction. :) You can get that just about anywhere too. I have seen the all white sets at Walmart for sure. hugs

Posted - Dec 31 2008 : 11:14:49 AM Misty, I love Pfaltzgraff too. I have several serving pieces that I use mostly in the summer for fresh veggies because of the garden sceans. I don't have the plates or anything, way too heavy for me. |

Posted - Dec 31 2008 : 11:11:00 AM Corel (sp) made by Corning. I love mine. Never a problem in the microwave or dishwasher. Very chip resistant also. We have a set in the motorhome and don't have to worry about chipping or breaking when on the move.. Have a set here in the house that we use everyday. |

Posted - Dec 31 2008 : 11:09:11 AM Pfaltzgraff is my absolute favorite. I've never had any trouble with them getting exceptionally how in the microwave and they are very durable. They may be a tad bit heavier than you're looking for I don't know!! If you have outlets near you, you may be able to find them there! |
