headed down the hoots and hollars of 'ole kaintuck today .. first stop .. COBBLESTONE .. where sweet cathy had these gorgeous soft pink MUMS and wonderfully vibrant purple asters .. i got these for daughter, wednesday .. will take them up there (OHIO) on thursday.

a close up of these 'pretties'

what beautiful perfect shapes .. cathy cobblestone grows the MOS' 'beautifulest' flowers in kentucky!

(i'm going back after we return from ohio to get me some 'earthy-shade' ones for our farm).

Frannie: I went to both the flea market and some antique stores, and couldn't find a single one of your barrel mugs. I'm so sorry! But if you want me to keep looking, I'll definitely let you know if I find one!

do you ever use pretty 'china' dishes? i had some beautiful sets when i did the 'fancy tea parties' .. but have sold almost all of those (HA! unless there are still dozens boxed up in the schoolhouse!)

Hey, Frannie! I absolutely love those pics! I'm headed to our local flea market this Saturday, and I'll keep my eyes out for your mugs. Anything else you want me to shop for?

oh joy. i can't believe that i won't get SATIATED at some point! (gosh .. even now .. i have to have another 'holder' for them! i did see a pretty neat metal one ... but i passed on it .. cuz' i'd have to put it on the FLOOR .. and i don't want to store our 'eatin' pans on the floor!

i'm finding that if you don't mind some 'dings' .. $5. is an average price for them. i figure those little 'dings' aren't going to kill us! xo

Well Miz Frannie, any that you can live without, keep me in mind. I know the good ones cost a little more but hey they last forever, so they are worth it.

how absolutely wonderful!!! i can hardly wait to see it!

now .. i PROMISED me NOT to buy any more 'enamelware' PIE PANS .. but oh lordy!!! i just couldn't resist! bought TEN more!! i want to have about 30 ... (i best go down in that kitchen and count how many i now have!) i can hardly wait to see your 'sink' ...

grey enamelware can be very pricey i've discovered .. i think that is why when i find a really reasonably priced piece .. i do grab it .. most just hangs from a rafter .. but i love to look at it! i did get a grey enamel ROASTER PAN for only $6.50 today .. and olde one but in great shape!!!

i also saw a set of six cups for $66. .. AND another one at a another shoppe for ten dollars .. but i passed on them .. cuz' i know 'metal' can be HOT on the lips when drinking coffee from them.

i know joy collects grey enamel pie plates .. anyone else collect it too?

Frannie--sending good vibes and thoughts your way, but I know that everything will be okay! Your optimism and spirit will just win out! I love the yellowware in your cupboard. It looks very striking against the stone wall....and the pumpkins and gourds are great!

well sweetie pies ... i just needed that music tonight!

had a little 'biopsy-ette' on a bump-ette on my thyroid today! and when a gurl is feelin' a little 'apprehensive' .. it is so swell to hear she is thought kindly of! i'm pretty sure i'm gonna' be o.k. ... my doc isn't worried ... and she says it wouldn't even be much too much to worry about if it was a little sumpthin' nasty!

well .. reading your sweet words .. and seeing our grand-daughters sound asleep in their cribs when we arrived in toledo ... sure cheered me up! i can hardly wait until the morning when they are awake and i can hug and squeeze on them! i DID get lots of snuggles from grandson lucas .. he waited up for our arrival!

oh .. and i'm pretty sure we're not supposed to discuss 'religion' .. but i'm gonna' ask for special thoughts, vibes, prayers from all ya'll .. to YOUR powers!

xoxo
