Posted - Sep 03 2008 : 10:23:02 AM Nancy Jo remember when you posted a picture of a pitcher you had and I think you asked Miss Wilma about and I said I had a similar one with a wooden handle and everyone said--"lets see a picture" well I was down in the storage and here it is. I think it is California glas or Pottery. I remember orange juice in this whin I was very young.

Posted - Sep 06 2008 : 10:31:09 PM What great entertainment you gave me on a Saturday night, rabbit squat, I didn't know it was good for tomatoes and I didn't know horse puckey or road apples did great for rhubarb and I learned this all from the topic of a teapot or coffee pot!!!!! LOL

Posted - Sep 06 2008 : 8:55:29 PM Looks a lot like what was made by Vernon Kilns or California Pottery...maybe even Franciscan Ware from that era. Is that possible? If you check eBay under those names, might see something familiar. |

Posted - Sep 06 2008 : 2:48:55 PM Horse pucky is road apples here in Maine, good for growing rhubarb.... I never saw a pot like that either, isn't it funny, I always think the internet is just going to magically explain all these mystery objects for me. It will be interesting to find out just where this item comes from...

Posted - Sep 06 2008 : 09:31:20 AM Mind you, my Mother is 92 but she said she would work on trying to remember more about the yellow pourer. She said definitly the 1940s. She said Fiesta because she has quite a bit of that. there are no marks on the bottom or anywhere and the botton is just that and it didn't set in anything. Horse squat same as horse pucky I think. LOL MB
