Posted - Mar 20 2008 : 1:34:18 PM I had reason recently to mee my client, Gaye, at a Starbucks. I hardly ever go to Starbucks and I couldn't quite remember what she looked like and suddenly I realized I was in deep doggie do.
I looked at all the tall blondes sitting or standing alone and thought to myself..."Should I walk up to any of them and ask if they're Gaye?" I pictured myself shrinking in horror and decided I'd wait until somebody approached me instead.

Posted - Mar 24 2008 : 03:58:50 AM I have the opposite problem, I see people I recognize but I don't know where from, or I know where from but I don't remember their name, or I know their name but I don't think they remember me, so do I say something or not... I don't know if it's the exact opposite, but nearly opposite.

Posted - Mar 21 2008 : 10:56:13 AM Lisa and Heather, you crack me up! I have the same problem. When I see the kitchen guys in street clothes instead of kitchen whites, I always have to think for a minute! |

Posted - Mar 21 2008 : 10:18:45 AM I hate when that happens! Glad you made it there ahead of time so that she had to find you! (Another reason for being on time for appointments, methinks!)

Posted - Mar 21 2008 : 08:51:04 AM I have that same problem at work. All the officers are in the same uniform and almost all of them are bald! I can keep the bigger guys straight, and the ones that have been there a long time, but I always confuse the skinny little new guys.

Posted - Mar 20 2008 : 1:45:31 PM Oh gosh!! That happens to me all the time, but especially while I was in the military. I would get introduced to someone, most likely male, and with everyone wearing the same uniform, I couldn't remember who was who and I would have to ask in some cryptic way to find out who I was supposed to be talking to.
Yeah....so what did you do??
Cheers, Heather
