Posted - Mar 17 2008 : 07:04:46 AMFor your Georgia farm girls, I sure hope none of you were affected this past weekend!
We had threats about 10 miles from us but wouldn't have known had my folks not called!
I remember my folks keeping all our pictures in the besement.
Got me to thinking quick just then and was able to get a box together that has all our pictures AND marriage certificate.
This stuff will continue to stay at the ready. We have an outbuilding that has a "basement" of sorts, but it's so moist down there I don't want to risk our stuff getting destroyed my mildew.
Sure wish we had a big, heavy gun safe too...someting that could withstand high winds a little better.

Posted - Mar 17 2008 : 09:21:14 AMwe had lots of strong wind and hail the size of golf balls. our kitties were running around in circles (even though we were calling them to come inside) because they couldn't understand why they were getting hit no matter where they ran. it was kind of funny but dick ran out and picked them up and brought them in----of course he didn't like getting "attacked" by the hail either!
