I was looking thru some post today and came upon one for junk mail, I am like everyone else enough is enough, I tried to just put return to sender, but since all these companies sell your name to other companies the junk kept coming, I lost important mail , checks and bills in this when I threw it out , On with a new tactic I found out that the companies have to pay double for the postage paid returns, so I started opening the mail every pst paid envelope I kept I proceeded to fill the envelopes back up with other junk mail, papers and any thing I could find , I even had to tape some of the envelopes to hold them together, then off to the companies they went at their expense , some days I would have 6 or 7 envelopes going out, well it worked we very seldom get any more junk mail there are just some things the devil makes me do

Wow - what a great idea! I am going to do it starting today - never thought of it.

It reminds me of what I used to do when I got solicitor phone calls. I would say,"hold on a minute" and then I would put the phone down and not return for awhile. I wonder how long they waited?

Or sometimes I would keep a coach's whistle near to the phone, and if it was a marketer call, I would blow the whistle!

I use to just shred the junk mail and use the paper as packing stuff for mailing out stuff or to send off to the recycling folks. I think I may just do the return to sender with some of the tips you guys provided. I'm still cracking up over the toilet paper!!

I've done this too and it has worked for us, we rarely ever get junk mail anymore... I also used to write in huge sharpie marker on the front "NO MORE JUNK MAIL!!" just so they'd get the hint incase they needed another clue...

Hee hee...I love it Miss Wilma and I have done the same. In one week, I had four offers of a Capital One VISA and assorted mastercard offers. What a waste of trees! So...mastercard got the VISA applications and visa versa. I just cut our name off the letter. I think one envelope even contained an old shopping list and a candy wrapper that was on my desk at the time.
