This just in from an email from Trina that she said I could share!

there have been several big changes in my life since i last visited MJ's Farm, but overall the children and i doing very well. i came to grips with the truth about my marriage to martin (it has been bad for quite awhile and the abuse started long before Iraq) and we are getting divorced. the kids and i have relocated and are currently living in town. getting rid of the animals hurt, but sometimes that's the way life goes. we are living near some wonderful extended family and are staying with one of my dearest friends from highschool. she and her husband have 37 acres that they are turning into an organic vegetable farm compleat with green houses and i am looking forward to working with them in the next few years. she wants to open a whole foods restraunt in town and have me run the green houses as well as advise on animal husbandry. her dear hubby has even offered to build a house on the property for the children and i! they are the most amazing Christian people!

for the first time in many years i feel compleatly myself. i use to love visiting MJ's farm because there i could be me for a few minutes a day, now i get to be me all day! it is amazing to see the kids turning around since they are now away from the place we were hurt so badly and are being surrounded with some amazing loving people. there is much more to the story, but i am not sure i am ready to tell it now. i'll let everybody adjust to the shock of the divorce first. just be assured that i think of you all frequently and am eternaly greatful for your love and support.
love,trina

Hey, girls, I'm here. Thankyou all for the love and prayers. We really are doing much better and well on our way to healing emotionaly and spiritualy. I am waiting on a house and job now, so please pray that the Lord provides as he sees fit. I don't know how often I'll be around the board since I am borrowing a friends computer, but I'll check in once in a while.

Love you all, Trina

Alee, thanks for that--I was really hoping that things were going well for her, and she was away, just concentrating on "things"...that was what I'd hoped, but it sure sounds like she's on the road now. I admire her so much for thinking of herself and the safety of those children--it broke my heart to think of her leaving her home, and giving the animals away.

Wow . . . I had no idea things were that bad for her. Don't you just wish we could all join go to her and give her hugs and let her share her heart over a cup of tea? Trina, we are all rooting for you. While I know divorce is a hard choice to make, especially with children, if there was abuse involved, it sounds like you are making a wise choice.

So since we can't be there in person, if you get a chance to read this, know you are being "cyber hugged" by farmgirls across the country.

In the end, God will bring you out stronger than ever and the story you will have will bless other women in similar situations. Just remember, "darkness only lasts for the night, then comes the morning . . ."

Alee, thanks for having the sensitivity and compassion to share this.

Hugs & blessings,

Brenda

Alee,
Thanks for sharing with us. I'm sure it is a very difficult time and what a blessing to have such loving friends.
Let her know we are thinking of her and praying all will turn out well. Sounds like she has a plan and that is always a good thing.
