Posted - Jul 08 2007 : 8:29:46 PM This is my dad's old tractor. My father-in-law is practicing his photography skills. He took a pic of it on the fourth of July when we were all at my sister's place.

Posted - Jul 10 2007 : 12:22:19 PM That's too funny. Yes, I agree this picture looks like the tractor could just start up at any second.
Believe it or not, this is the tractor on which I learned how to drive (as in drive a car). Most of my motoring skills are due to driving this tractor around my parents' five acres!
I have only had 1 speeding ticket and have only had 1 formal accident (though I have had a couple close calls). The 1 accident I did have I'm going to blame on pregnancy hormones and lack of spatial awareness!!! (I hit a parked vehicle while trying to get out of a little parking lot with a narrow street). LOL!! Otherwise, I've been a pretty safe driver of the last 17-18 years. I think more people should take driver's training on a tractor!!!

Posted - Jul 10 2007 : 08:28:25 AM I read a book ahwile ago about a farmer who kept his old Case tractor around. It did not run anymore, but he was always working on it trying to get it started and talking to it as he worked....turns out the tractor (it was a weird story) had a personality of it's own, and came alive at the end.....this photo could be that tractor! As if it could start up and go on it's own....

Posted - Jul 09 2007 : 07:04:28 AM Hmm. I don't know about using a filter. He did edit it with a special format. I think it's actually 3 pictures in one. I am not sure what format he used. He practices a lot on digital photography. The weather was great. You can almost hear the cicadas using your imagination, can't you? And feel the chiggers & mosquitos buzzin' and bitin'! Ha! |
