So DH went to bed about 9, he has to be up at 4, and I'm sitting around, knitting, reading, watching TV, on the computer, doing whatever I can to get sleepy - it's 11 oclock now, and everytime I get in bed, I start thinking about the oral surgery tomarrow. I'm not really scared - the worse part for me was the consultation. But last time I had two wisdom teeth taken out, they gave me pain meds, and I took 1/2 of one, and went totally wacko. DH had to come and get me - I was at work. I went to work the day of my surgery, drove about 30 miles to another town for the procedure, then they wanted me back at work for a MANDATORY meeting. Well, during the meeting the pain started, I took the med, and about 1/2 hour later, I was so sick - dizzy, etc. I just hope and pray that I don't need to take the meds tomorrow, or if I do, I'm already home!
Let's see la-de-da, what else can I talk about to get sleepy? Oldest DD is with her family in Disneyland, Oldest DS and his wife went to the Oregon coast for their anniversary, younger DD is on her way to Ecquador for 3 weeks, youngest DS lives in Jackson WY which is a permanent vacation and I'm in Elma Washington. Something is not right here - I thought these were MY best years.......
I got an e-mail from my grungy swap partner - turns out she's from Elizabethtown KY, the same town my DIL is from. What are the chances of that. She also sent me a picture of her dog - looks exactly like MY dog. Frannie - did you set me up with myself?
Well, I'll go lay down and try to get to sleep again. Maybe if I look really tired they'll think I'm sick and won't do the procedure.............. |

My dh gets them from harbor freight or the hardward store. None of them block out all the sound but diffuse it enought so that I can get to sleep. The grocery store has some that were great on the other side of the mountains, I can't remember the name of them and the grocery store went out of business. Figures huh!!!

Too funny, I have been sleeping with Grizzly Adams for 15 years, okay longer than that but he didn't snore like he does now. Earplugs are my life saver, I wear them every night. Now can't sleep without the darn things!!!!

Wow! I missed a pj party last night! I crashed at about 10:30. Nora was still awake and happy so I let her dad take care of her. Not sure when he brought her in, but I was to tired to get her to sleep and put her in the bassinet last night. So she slept we me! I don't think either of us slept very well...someone...and we won't name names...stole the covers...and it wasn't me...and it wasn't Nora! LOL

don't oversleep for that strawberry picking trip! You guys have been planning this for awhile!! I worked as a cage cashier in a casino for about 6 months. I had the 6 pm to 6 am shift and I NEVER did get used to it. I quit before I got fired when they saw me on camera when I fell asleep in the vault. Now THAT was embarassing. Couldn't stay awake then, now I can't fall asleep. Must be hormones....... |
