So DH went to bed about 9, he has to be up at 4, and I'm sitting around, knitting, reading, watching TV, on the computer, doing whatever I can to get sleepy - it's 11 oclock now, and everytime I get in bed, I start thinking about the oral surgery tomarrow. I'm not really scared - the worse part for me was the consultation. But last time I had two wisdom teeth taken out, they gave me pain meds, and I took 1/2 of one, and went totally wacko. DH had to come and get me - I was at work. I went to work the day of my surgery, drove about 30 miles to another town for the procedure, then they wanted me back at work for a MANDATORY meeting. Well, during the meeting the pain started, I took the med, and about 1/2 hour later, I was so sick - dizzy, etc. I just hope and pray that I don't need to take the meds tomorrow, or if I do, I'm already home!
Let's see la-de-da, what else can I talk about to get sleepy? Oldest DD is with her family in Disneyland, Oldest DS and his wife went to the Oregon coast for their anniversary, younger DD is on her way to Ecquador for 3 weeks, youngest DS lives in Jackson WY which is a permanent vacation and I'm in Elma Washington. Something is not right here - I thought these were MY best years.......
I got an e-mail from my grungy swap partner - turns out she's from Elizabethtown KY, the same town my DIL is from. What are the chances of that. She also sent me a picture of her dog - looks exactly like MY dog. Frannie - did you set me up with myself?
Well, I'll go lay down and try to get to sleep again. Maybe if I look really tired they'll think I'm sick and won't do the procedure.............. |

Welcome Sherri! I sometimes have to use Excedrin PM to help me sleep. It does not have asprin in it. Keep us posted how it goes for you!

Okay, signing in with those not asleep yet. My dumb hours are switched around again. What is this with getting older and not being able to always sleep at night!!!!! Long ago I worked grave yard and my body periodically seems to think that staying up all night is a goooo thing. I am supposse to go strawberry picking at what 7am, good grief am I in trouble.

| don't oversleep for that strawberry picking trip! You guys have been planning this for awhile!! I worked as a cage cashier in a casino for about 6 months. I had the 6 pm to 6 am shift and I NEVER did get used to it. I quit before I got fired when they saw me on camera when I fell asleep in the vault. Now THAT was embarassing. Couldn't stay awake then, now I can't fall asleep. Must be hormones....... |
