Don't you think it is fun trying to figure out how we all came up with our User Names? Some are easy to figure out but some...
So,idea, what is your user name and how did you came up with it!
This is me.

Well,my name is PlumJoy because I went through clown-training school and that is my clown name here in California. I used to have my own business when I was younger raising my children by myself. I entered that particular career because I had been painfully shy all of my life, and I really wanted to get over that. I did, and it was great!

These are all such fun to read! Mine is the first thing I ever came up with for an online name years back and it just stuck. Everyone always says, isn't it mustang sally? lol Nope. Mustang actually is for the wild mustang horse. I think my freespirit is like the spirit of that horse. And Suzie is just short for my middle name which is Suzanne.

Blessings....
Sarah

Annika-

I love your name! It sounds so exotic and sweet at the same time! I actually considered naming my daughter Annika! Maybe next time! :D

I messed up when registering, I put my real name down instead of a "call name" ...Trying to think what I would have called myself. My mum was from Dublin, so perhaps "bogwench" or "Taterblossom" would have been a good call LOL! I get called Panz or Panzy or Panzybuttons by a lot of friends due to my middle name, Fialka, which means violet. I am always curious how people come up with some of the wacky names...most are cute though

My real name is Shirley. I was named after my maternal grandma who died when my mum was a little girl. I wanted my username to have an Australian flair so I combined my name with kangaroo and got shirlaroo!

Ahhh. the truth comes out! (LOL!) I am actually reading Little Women for the first time! Growing up in England, the required reading in school is somewhat different to the US so I still have some catching up to do!

Mine is easy. My husband and kids even call me Aunt Jo since they hear it so much from the neices and nephews.

My mom read Little Women while pregnant with me, hence the name Jo.

Tammy, makes it easier to remember whether to use the 'real' name or the 'user name"!
There was a topic on that a while ago with differing views, so you make it easy for all of us!!

I screwed mine all up when I registered. I thought it asked for my name so that's what I put in...duh. So mine means me...lol

My user name "wallflower" was chosen because I am a bit shy, but I have an ever-growing interest in gardening, so, this name works for both. . .
kissmekate Posted - Sep 21 2007 : 10:57:25 PM
My real name is Kate (actually Katharine, but only my Mom and Dad call me that)

It stems from the "Taming of the Shrew" I love that story. I am feisty, so that fits.

Years ago, the tv show Moonlighting did a spoof of the story on one of their episodes, and I loved it.

I have also have been told by more than a few people that I have great lips and should sell lipstick, so I guess that fits too.

I am Kiss-me-Kate on another forum I belong to, and it wasn't taken here yet, so I decided to use it here too.

I guess CountryBorn is pretty self explantory! But, I was really
born in the country, 20 or more miles to the nearest town and no one around for a long way.On a lake in a log house. It is the heart and soul of who I am.

queenofdreamsz is the keeper of dream kingdom During a very dark time in my life I started writing stories about "a state of Mind" I would prefer to live in.....

Out of all of it came my dreams of one day having a peaceful life with "a love of my life", my own business so I could sew and create all day and live happily.

If anyone believes that they can manifest a new life then you will believe me when I say I did!!

Now I am the queenofdreamsz in the physical world and dream kingdom isn't a fantasy anymore....it's a great "state of Mind" to stay in

I know...kind of rings of fairytales but that's who I am

Peace,
Stephanie

I am so enjoying hearing about you all through your names! (I think it says more about who we really are than our given name does) Thank-you for sharing this with us all!

Love-in-a-Mist Posted - Jun 11 2007 : 2:32:15 PM
Love-in-a-Mist is the name of a flower of course, but I picked the name because our farm is on a river bottom and most of the year it is covered in fog at least in the mornings and I really love our farm, so hence the name. I actually don't even have one love-in-a-mist plant. But it's on my list of things to do. lol

Amie C. Posted - Jun 11 2007 : 12:48:56 PM
I kept my real name (Amie) so I wouldn't forget my screen name. That happens more than I'd like to admit. But my last name doesn't start with a C, my middle name does. Amie C. was actually my earliest childhood nickname. My middle name is Carol, named for my mother. Her friends always called me Amie Carol, like Carol, Jr. My grandpa shortened it to Amie C. It has a jaunty, 1940s kinda sound, the way he used to say it. So, pleasant associations and easy to remember!

JudyBlueEyes seemed friendly and farmgirlish and I have blue eyes and my given name is Judith, which I like, but most people call me Judy.

ponyexpress Posted - Jun 08 2007 : 8:26:40 PM
I finally decided that computers weren't going to go away and I needed to learn my way around. As I was trying to figure out the internet and email systems, I commented (shouted) that the pony express was more my speed -- hence the name: ponyexpress.

I've learned that it takes as much time and energy to wish as it does to plan.

Mine is pretty simple. Lisa Marie is my given name. I was named after a foster child that my grandma was hoping to keep but the dad came forward and it broke her heart. So, when my mom had me she named me after that foster child and that made me Grandma's favorite!

Someone else already had lisamarie on here and so I added my house number. It's easier to remember.
