our daughter gave us a fun 'game' .. it is a box of 'questions' to ponder and share your answers with each other. it's called 'table topics' .. and i understand it comes in several versions .. like for couples and children and spiritual, etc. etc.
thought it would be fun to share some of these questions (getting to know you type) with the farmgirls .. soooo .. i'll post them here ... would love to hear your answers. o.k. ... here's the first one i drew from the box:
"which is more important .. the respect of your children or your parents?"
wowzer! that's a hard one .. but what if you HAD to choose?
i think i would have to go with 'children'. they are the ones who are most likely to follow my example.

After reading all 10 pages let's see if I can remember some of these questions.
What would I ask God?......Why is there war?
What fear would I overcome?....being Claustrophobic
This leads me to What happens after we die? I am so claustraphobic I can't even think about ashes in urns,coffins, mausoleums etc. Tooo dark and close ( Panic attack just thinking about it) I guess I would like to think of "going to a beautiful place.
My mentor is my Aunt Nancy. She and I enjoy sewing and embroidery. She so excells @ this, She is a wonderful Mom and Grandma, We grew up in the same house and she is 12 yrs older. I think of her more as a big sis.
MOUNTAINS for sure!! all the way!! And Rock climbing would be the sport I would like to do if there was no fear of injury.
My disease to cure would be Diabetes too Frannie as my sweetie is also diabetic.
Enough for now. Let's hear from some more of you gurls

If I didn't have to worry about money, I would buy a farm and convert it into a family inn. Or, I would buy a quilt shop.
The most important quality in a marriage is respect and faithfulness.
In my elder years, I would like to have a family farm with my kids and future grandkids somewhere on the property. I'd like to be writing again by then and sewing and still cooking my head off.

ya know what Frannie..I could see you taking and making copies of these question on little primitive style tags and creating a journal for your grandkids or your daughters where you answer the questions as you did here and give them each a copy to keep..that way they'd have a bit of an insight into their grandma or moms way of thinking.:0)
I think it would be a great thing to pass on.

IF YOU HAD TO SPEND ONE YEAR LIVING ALONE IN A REMOTE CABIN .. WHAT WOULD YOU SPEND YOUR TIME DOING?
GOSH .. I DID EXACTLY THIS THE FIRST YEAR I MOVED HERE. THE QUESTION DOESN'T SAY WE CAN'T 'GO TO TOWN' NOW AND THEN .. EVEN IF IT IS A LONG 'RIDE' .. BUT .. LET ME ADD THIS TO THE ABOVE QUESTION: ALONE .. NO OUTSIDE CONTACT!!!
i'd be 'creative' in ways that i already know .. and i would try things i had not .. learn new skills .. and WRITE A BOOK ABOUT IT!

i don't believe there is a 'certain' age for becoming old .. the secret, i believe is ATTITUDE ATTITUDE ATTITUDE!!!!

ESSENTIAL .. being the key word here ... for me .. i would say it is GAIN KNOWLEDGE .. i love always learning something .. i am pretty happy with my 'beliefs'. xo

WHAT WAS YOUR MOST MEMORABLE MEAL EVER?
probably my very first date with honey hunk!! .. he took me to a very exclusive seafood restaurant in Great Falls, Virginia .. where lots of 'politicians' dine. I had on my very 'best behaviour' .. and when they served my TROUT .. and it's little head was laying there all attached to it's body .. with it's glassy eye staring up at me from the plate .. i SCREAMED!!!

(now gurlfrenz .. let's not get tooooo 'personal religious belief' here .. we all have our beliefs and all are valid is my belief).
actually, i believe that ONLY GOD KNOWS (whoever and whatever you believe GOD is) ... i do love the idea of re-incarnation .. but i like to believe that we will be reunited with ALL of humanity since the beginning of time .. and an even more exciting adventure to follow this one!
