Has anyone grown any Watermelon Radishes? I love Radishes so when I saw the seed packet for the Watermelon Radishes I had to try growing them. I just harvested my first one, it was so yummy, a bit spicier then a normal radish but just as good. I can not wait for the others to come up.

Here in N Michigan we plant this type in late summer/early autumn. We consider them a winter radish. So good grated into a salad. And did you know that radishes “sweeten up” if roasted?

When asked “How are you?”, I reply, “Better than good!”

Secretly I was hoping they might taste a bit like Watermelon, but that is not the case.

I am not a radish lover but I have seen these cute little things. Almost makes me want to eat one but not quite.
