Has anyone grown any Watermelon Radishes? I love Radishes so when I saw the seed packet for the Watermelon Radishes I had to try growing them. I just harvested my first one, it was so yummy, a bit spicier then a normal radish but just as good. I can not wait for the others to come up.

I am not a radish lover but I have seen these cute little things. Almost makes me want to eat one but not quite.

Secretly I was hoping they might taste a bit like Watermelon, but that is not the case.

Here in N Michigan we plant this type in late summer/early autumn. We consider them a winter radish. So good grated into a salad. And did you know that radishes “sweeten up” if roasted?

When asked “How are you?”, I reply, “Better than good!”

I've roasted radishes along with other root vegetables. Radish leaves are also good to eat either cooked with other greens or in soup, also in salads.

Debbie, I haven't heard of these either. I was hoping you would say they tasted like watermelon! Then I would definitely give them a try.

Those look amazing! I'm not a huge radish fan but I might look into those based on how cute they are LOL! Thanks for sharing.

Darlene, they are a bit spicy (hot) compared to other radishes but not too bad. I love them.
