Just received an email from Dave at the Food Democracy. They're asking people to call their congressman within the next 24 hours and tell him/her to support Tester amendment #74, which in essence is to stop Monsanto from planting GMO crops. GMO crops are a threat to non-GMO/natural/organic crops. GMOs can be spread to non-GMO plants by pollination and wind drift. I called my congressman and told him that I don't want GMOs. If we get the word out, maybe someone will start listening and stand up to the big guys.

Monsanto won!!! For more info please see the Food Democracy website. Also, check the "To Your Health" chat where Fiddlehead Farm provides info on GMOs. Our health and the future of small organic farmers is threatened by GMOs.
