I would like to get alot of different varieties of flower seeds so that I can create a "farmgirl friendship flower garden".

I will be willing to do the following in exchange for packets of seeds: I will send to you a handmade muslin teatowel of my own design...or a matted 4 by 6 floral photo of my own design.please specify what you'd like in exchange for the seed packet.

If you have seeds for the following plants I'd really be thrilled:
black eye susan vine, black eye susan, gomphrena, balloon flower, bee balm, columbine, cosmos, foxgloves, hollyhocks, any iris or lily tubers,echinacea,coreopsis,gazania,zinnia,..basically I'm looking for nice cutting flowers or wildflowers type seeds that will come back year after year or that seeds can be gathered from to keep passing on to others to enjoy...and that also will make lovely photographed images.

So, if you'd like to share..I'd like to trade a handmade teatowel or matted floral photo in exchange.

oh hey....I'm patient.
I'm just glad you liked it.
My gosh I have seeds galore now to get started with in Feb.

I usually start all my seeds growing around Feb.14th here..alot of the old timers around here start their potato crops and so forth and that is when I usually start my seeds in flats.

So very excited.

Oh that reminds me

..Babbette..I wanted to let you know that the white yarrow has started blooming..

I scattered alot of seeds, mixed them in with the shaker of the wildflower seeds and just went ahead and sowed them in mid September..

they have started popping up in the cottage garden and so have the freesia bulbs..or one of the bulbs you sent..either freesia or that other type..gosh I forget what they were..

but they look like iris leaves...

anyhow I have white yarrow baby plants all over..can't wait until Spring when things warm up and really start bursting forth.I'm hoping that the new baby sprouts can last through the winter months though.
Thank you, thank you, thank you.

And a great big wonderful THANK YOU! to all of you gals that have sent seeds my way for my little cottage garden.

I absolutely plan on taking pictures in the Spring to share with you all.
Crossing my fingers that everything grows well so that I have pretty pictures to share.

Hi, Tina. I just harvested some seeds this past weekend. I have columbine seeds, and also lots of heirloom single blossom hollyhocks if you want more of those. The columbines were in my yard when I moved in and they just keep reseeding themselves everywhere. The hollyhocks are a mix of pink, pale peach, and yellow. Just let me know if you want any.

Thanks Tina for the very cute towel and the gorgeous photo! I was only expecting the towel, so was very pleasantly suprised. Photo already in my creative space, to inspire me. Thanks!

Hi Mary,
That would be really nice. I currently do not have any echinacea growing. I had some gloriosa daisies this past summer and they were absolutely lovely, but with a few days of heavy rains they wound up getting moldy and bit the dust..I did gather a few seeds from them..and hopefully will have a few next summer. ..but have never grown the echinacea before. It would be fun.

My daughter and I created a cottage garden area out in our backyard this weekend and scattered some of the seeds the gals here had sent along with a couple containers that you can get at places like Kmart and Walmart of the mixed wildflower seeds. I am watering the seeds daily, also planted some rose bushes that I found at Kmart for $1.99 each..I expect come Spring that we will be quite suprised.
My husband tilled up the area for me on Friday of last week and we cleared the debris and grass out of it this weekend (my daughter and I) and laid a flagstone path and set 2 benches in the area.
I decided not to put a mini pond in the area after all, as I didn't want to worry about algae and possibly mosquitoes. So I pitched that idea. ..and went with a wildflower cottage garden idea.

Let me know please what you would like in trade..a matted floral photo image or a teatowel.

Thank you so very much!
~Tina

If you'd like more purple echinacea I can send some seeds your way. Also I may be able to get some yellow echinacea seeds from my mother-in-law. I'll talk with her later this week. She has flowers everywhere so I can see what else I can get. Right now my flowers are limited to roses, day lilies and echinacea. Someday when my life is simpler I'll have flowers and herbs again.

Get well.
