I would like to get alot of different varieties of flower seeds so that I can create a "farmgirl friendship flower garden".

I will be willing to do the following in exchange for packets of seeds: I will send to you a handmade muslin teatowel of my own design...or a matted 4 by 6 floral photo of my own design.please specify what you'd like in exchange for the seed packet.

If you have seeds for the following plants I'd really be thrilled:
black eye susan vine, black eye susan, gomphrena, balloon flower, bee balm, columbine, cosmos, foxgloves, hollyhocks, any iris or lily tubers,echinacea,coreopsis,gazania,zinnia,..basically I'm looking for nice cutting flowers or wildflowers type seeds that will come back year after year or that seeds can be gathered from to keep passing on to others to enjoy...and that also will make lovely photographed images.

So, if you'd like to share..I'd like to trade a handmade teatowel or matted floral photo in exchange.

I will send you hollyhocks seeds!! They do well here in the heat...and are a dark burgandy color double flower....about 4 ft. tall..not the real tall ones..but they look great at the back of a flower bed! You don't need to send a thing...they are just from my garden. Go ahead and email me your address and I will get them out to you.

Wow that was fast. I assume they arrive okay, not squished since I didn't put them in a bubble pack - thought since they were small they would be fine.

Susan -

E-mail me your address and I can send some to you - I still have plenty left.

Glad you got it Anne... they are some of my favorite roses.thanks so much for the seeds. My husband surprised me this evening by renting a tiller and tilled up the area I had talked to him about just 2 days ago for my special garden! what a surprise! of course I helped a little too..but that tiller sure made short work of things.
I'll take before and after pictures of the process.

Tina,

I was busy in the gardens today and thought of you as I pulled Centuary and Iron weed heads. I also if you are interested, could pack up a few little rootlets of bushy aster and monarda. These transplant as babies really easy.

I probably have more but that was all I was able to get to today. That monarda was about 4 an some foot around and I had to wrestle it out of the ground! I now have 3 huge bushy monardas. I love perennials.

Let me know,
Babs

I'd love some of the monarda, have never grown it before and it looks lovely! the bushy aster would be nice too.. the monarda really interests me though as it looks like it would attract both butterflies and hummingbirds. I saw my first hummingbird about a week ago here! Let me know if you'd like a tea towel or matted floral image in exchange.you can email me through the site here.

No hurry Tina, especially if you are sick. Put your feet up and have some french onion soup.
Personally, Id rather have you focusing on getting well if you aren't feeling up to snuff.

Anyway, I'll be out and about now till late next week, and if you send it, that just means hubby will call me and taunt me while I'm gone with threats to open my package.

Hey Tina,
I have some black hollyhock seed. They bloomed for the first time this year and they were gorgeous. Also calendula and zinnia seed if you're interested.

Get well.

Marcia

P.S. Printing off the magazine today. It's beautiful!
