Posted - Jan 31 2012 : 06:39:18 AM So last year I told you girls about my neighbor down the road who was putting in a blueberry farm. I was in the grocery store last week and noticed that they had blueberries on sale. So Sunday evening I went down to the neighbors to see his blueberries. His wife and I picked 2 gallon size zip lock baggies full of blueberries. It did not take us long because these blueberries were giant size. The size of a quarter. Last night I made a blue berry cobbler it was so good. Everything this guy grows always turn out giant size. I call him Jack and the bean stalk. LOl. Anyways so excited to have a berry picking farm right down the road. He also is growing blackberries, grapes and raspberries.

Posted - Jan 31 2012 : 09:27:25 AM I was reading about planting blueberries, and the material I read said to wait three years before a good harvest. I wonder how this guy did it in one? Maybe he was planting canes that were already a couple of years old??
