                | prariehawk | Posted - Jul 30 2011 : 2:50:26 PM I finally got a squash from my raised bed in the front yard! I couldn't believe it. I'd given up thinking I'd ever get any. I don't see any more, but maybe Mother Nature will surprise me. The seeds I planted were a variety of types, so I don't know what kind it is. It's smooth-skinned and rather pale. I fried some squash I got at the farmer's market for lunch today and it was good. We also had some rain today, not a lot, but it's better than nothing. so maybe I'll get lucky and get a few more.

Good morning Ladies, It has been my experience, If you bend wire or something to lift your squash vines up off the ground the will produce veggie... I have raised beds too.. & that has worked for me.... Happy gardening!!! patty
